ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 29,2024

As the middle son, Trey Blackburn dedicates his days to the family business, working to ensure that they remain at the top of the saddelbred industry. His time away from the farm is another story. Not one to get tied up in a long-term relationship, he’s the love ‘em and leave ‘em sort of guy. But Trey’s hesitation to commit might be deeper than not wanting to put in the time and effort. His reluctance may have more to do with the blond beauty who just blew back into town and the things they left in the past that have been neither forgiven nor forgotten.

Holland Rhodes may not have been born into the Blackburn name, but she was once considered part of the family. Having a less-than-ideal home life, Holland spent as much time as she could with the Blackburns, the quintessential dynasty full of love and southern hospitality. Dubbed an honorary member, Holland thought their connection would last a lifetime, but one shocking revelation changed everything.

Having left Shelbyville for a fresh start, Holland has limited her time back in Kentucky for the past decade, avoiding both of her families—the one into which she was born and the one into which she was welcomed. But the death of her father and the uncertain future of the family business has brought Holland back to face her past, one Blackburn at a time.

With old feelings reignited and ready to move their relationship forward, everything crashes to a halt when tragedy strikes. Their painful history in danger of repeating itself, Trey and Holland may find that even true love can’t overcome the darkest days.

REVIEW:THE TRYST is the third instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult BLUEGRASS EMPIRES: The Blackburns erotic, romance series. This is thirty-three year old rancher Trey Blackburn, and business consultant Holland Rhodes’ story line. THE TRYST can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Trey and Holland) using present day and memories from the past, THE TRYST follows the rekindling relationship between our story line couple. Eleven years earlier Trey and Holland proclaimed their love for one another but kept their relationship a secrets from family and friends. Life, and everything it had to offer, pushed Holland out of Trey’s life, and in the ensuing years Holland moved to Zurich to start a new life. Fast forward to present day, the death of her father brings Holland back to Shelbyville, Kentucky where she will face her past in the guise of Trey Blackburn. Trey has never stopped loving our story line heroine but the heart break of the past continues to push at Holland and memories she cannot forget . Hoping for a new start, Trey starts a slow seduction of the woman he loves only to find himself facing an uncertain future when agonizing guilt and grief all but shut down our story line hero.

The world building continues to focus on the Blackburn family: their lives, their loves, their history and the feud. Holland’s life at home is not what the Blackburn family knew it to be, and in this, our heroine is struggling with which path to take, going forward.

The relationship between Trey and Holland is one of second chances but someone else is vying for our heroine’s affections. Trey is determined to reclaim everything he lost when he broke Holland’s heart but reclaiming comes with more sorrow and grief than he could have ever imagined. The $ex scenes are passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and charismatic secondary and supporting characters including all of the previous story line couples, as well as Trey’s brother Wade, and their parents Miranda and Tommy.

THE TRYST is a story of secrets and lies, perceived betrayal and guilt, family and friendships, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is emotional, heart breaking and raw; the characters are determined and dynamic; the romance is captivating.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 10, 2024

Jack Kingston is known for his dominant playing skills on the ice, but off, he’s a down-to-earth guy who values a true connection over a meaningless hookup.

I love being a member of the Pittsburgh Titans, even if my teammates are constantly ribbing me about women who they claim are throwing themselves all over me. Could I go for the easy lay? Sure, but that’s not my style. I’m more of long-term kind of guy. Instead, I’m going to keep doing what I do best—killing it out on the ice. Everything else will fall into place…eventually.

That time comes sooner than expected, in the most unlikely of ways. At the rink to watch our goalie’s kids play Peewee hockey, I meet Willa Montreaux and somehow, by the end of that interaction, I’ve offered to help her coach the Ice Pups. Altruism or were there other intentions in that offer? A little of both, if I’m being honest.

As the time I spend with Willa increases, I am absolutely certain I want even more. She’s gorgeous, sure, but that’s superficial. Willa is also funny, loving, determined and smart. SO smart. Doctor smart. Probably too intelligent for a jock like me, but that’s not going to stop me from shooting my shot.

Not looking for anything more than a fling and concerned that she’s too old for me, Willa doesn’t want to venture into anything serious. I’m willing to put in the work and give her the space she needs to come to terms with the fact that the connection we have is far more than physical. Willa and I are end game, but I’m willing to play into overtime if that’s what it takes to walk away with her by my side.

REVIEW: KING is the fourteenth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult PITTSBURGH TITANS erotic, hockey romance series. This is twenty-five year old, defenseman Jack ‘King’ Kingston, and thirty-three year old former figure skater turned physician Dr. Willa Montreaux’ story line. KING can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Willa and King) KING follows the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. Willa Montreaux never expected to find herself coaching her niece’s little league hockey tea but when the previous coach quit, Willa was volunteered by her sister for the job. Meeting Pittsburgh Titans’ defenseman Jack Kingston was an added bonus when he volunteered himself as assistant coach but Jack is hoping for something more, and Willa struggles with their age different, and demons from the past. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Jack and Willa, and the potential fall-out when the past returns demanding a second change.

The world building focuses on the trials and tribulations of little league hockey, and the aggressive parents pushing their kids too hard. We are up close and personal with the demons from Willa’s past, and the return of Jack’s ex pushes Willa out of his life.

The relationship between Willa and Jack begins as co-coaches and friends. Hoping to take their relationship to the next level, Jack begins a slow seduction of our story line heroine but Willa has been burned, and Jack’s past refuses to let go. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including team owner Brienne Norcross and her fiancé Drake McGinn, Brienne’s cousin Tansy Carmichael, several players including Rafferty Abrams, Penn Navarro, Bain and Keira, Stone Dumelin. We are introduced to Willa’s sister Brittany’s and her daughter Izzy, as well as Willa’s ex Scott, and Jack’s ex Emily.

KING is a story of secrets and lies, family and relationships, friendships and love. The premise is honest and animated; the age-gap romance is spicy; the characters are sassy and lively.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 23, 2024

The prince of his family’s Kentucky bourbon empire, Gabriel Mardraggon is a ruthless and cunning businessman. Focused on the continued success of Mardraggon Enterprises, relationships and settling down aren’t even on his radar. After all, he’s the product of two people who always put money before love. Loyal to the family’s creed of winning at all costs, as well as their hatred of the Blackburns, Gabe will never accept peace between the dynasties.

Katherine Blackburn is Gabe’s polar opposite—carefree, lighthearted and completely mischievous. Kat works hard as a horse trainer but never hesitates to let her hair down and have a little fun. And lately that has included poking at Gabe and his buttoned-up ways, much to his irritation. Getting a rise out of the cold but gorgeous Mardraggon heir brings Kat unfettered joy, especially given their two families’ ugly history together.

Blackburns and Mardraggons are bitter enemies. Any type of relationship would be strictly forbidden. But when Gabe’s business dealings hurt Kat in a way he never imagined, his walls crumble and he’s forced to lay his feelings for Kat bare. Now Gabe has to decide if he’s ready to alter the course of history or walk away from the only genuine thing he’s ever known.

REVIEW:THE FORBIDDEN is the second instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult BLUEGRASS EMPIRES erotic, romance series focusing on the Blackburn and the Mardraggon families. This is twenty-seven year old, horse trainer Katherine ‘Kat’ Blackburn, and attorney/businessman/ heir to the Mardraggon empire Gabriel ‘Gabe’ Mardraggon’s story line. THE FORBIDDEN can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading book one THE FEUD.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Mardraggon and Blackburn families have been in a virtual war for approximately one-hundred and seventy years . The reasons focus on a history between the two families, a history that no longer involves the current generations but both families struggle in the wake of ongoing betrayal, and the Mardraggon’s are slowly spiraling out of control.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Gabe and Kat) THE FORBIDDEN follows in the wake of his father’s betrayal and actions that could have cost the life of someone Gabe and Kat both loved. Desperate to make amends for his father’s actions, Gabe is offering to give up control, and in doing so, rekindle a relationship he destroyed eight years earlier by pushing away the woman he would always love. Enter Katherine Blackburn. The Blackburn and Mardraggon families will now be connected for the rest of eternity but their history continues to affect the present day. As Gabe tries to make amends, Kat will fall victim to another betrayal, another betrayal by someone else.

The world building continues to focus on a one-hundred and seventy year old feud between two wealthy and connected families, families that barely remember what happened or why. Gabe and Kat’s previous relationship was kept secret for fear of retaliation but it would be Kat who would pay the ultimate price when another betrayal targets our story line heroine.

The relationship between Kat and Gabe is one of second chances. Gabe destroyed Katherine’s heart and soul eight years earlier when he refused to acknowledge their relationship, and in doing so, tore down any hope or trust for our story line heroine. As Gabe and Kat attempt to rebuild what once was, someone else is working behind the scenes to punish Gabe for the sins of the past. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful , powerful and dynamic secondary and supporting characters including Kat’s siblings,-Trey, Wade, Ethan and Marcie, their mother Fiona; Ethan’s daughter Sylvie; Gabe’s parents Lionel and Rosemund Mardraggon. The requisite evil has many faces.

THE FORBIDDEN is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, secrets and lies, money and entitlement, family and acceptance, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is complex, dramatic and inviting ; the characters are animated, sassy and stubborn; the romance is edgy.

FOSTER (Pittsburgh Titans 13) by Sawyer Bennett-review tour

FOSTER (Pittsburgh Titans 13) by Sawyer Bennett

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / Google Play / Apple /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 21, 2024

When Foster McInnis’ ex-wife flakes and he finds himself with full custody of his daughter, the nanny he hires brings a new complication—an attraction he can’t ignore, no matter how hard he tries.

I love being on the ice and am grateful for my hockey career, but the off season is my favorite time of the year because it brings me my one true love—my daughter, Bowie Jane. Between my job and my ex-wife living across the country, the time I get to spend face-to-face with my kiddo is limited, though we make up for it with summers full of fun adventures. We’re thick as thieves and take full advantage of our time together, but the distance away from her is killing me.

My fortunes change when my ex walks away and I find myself with full custody. But with the hockey season looming, I know I’m going to need help taking care of Bowie Jane. Enter Mary Elizabeth Archer—otherwise known as Mazzy. Highly recommended to me through the Titans’ network, Mazzy crashes into our life like a hurricane. She’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met and to say I’m intrigued is an understatement. But no matter how attractive she is, no matter how I crave to know everything about her, I can’t go there. It’s inappropriate. Just wrong, wrong, wrong, even though she might be the most right thing I’ve ever known.

Being the indescribable force she is, there is soon no corner of our lives that Mazzy hasn’t impacted in a positive way. And my desire for more with her becomes far stronger than my misguided idea that I could ever resist this woman. Our attraction burns hot and keeping our eyes, hands and mouths off one another gets harder by the minute. It doesn’t take long for me to know that I’m all in with Mazzy. She’s my end game and, lucky for me, winning is my specialty.

REVIEW: FOSTER is the thirteenth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult PITTSBURGH TITANS erotic, hockey romance series. This is twenty-nine year old, center Foster McInnis, and twenty-eight year old musician and nanny Mary Elizabeth ‘Mazzy’ Archer’s story line. FOSTER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Mazzy and Foster) FOSTER follows the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. Foster McInnis has been granted full-time custody of his ten year old daughter Bowie Jane but Foster needs a nanny, and Mary Elizabeth ‘Mazzy’ Archer is perfect for the job. Mazzy is a musician who was nanny to her younger siblings, and Bowie Jane’s immediate acceptance and trust is everything Foster had been hoping for but Foster never expected to fall for his daughter’s nanny, and in this, Foster must tread carefully before taking a chance. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Foster and Mazzy, and the potential fall-out when Foster’s ex returns taking what doesn’t belong.

The world building is a familiar one-professional father falls in love with his child’s nanny. Foster knows that to cross a line may affect his only child but with the help of his fellow teammates, Foster comes to a decision that will affect his life going forward.

The relationship between Foster and Mazzy begins acrimoniously as Mazzy immediately butts heads with our story line hero. Mazzy has been offered an other position, and Foster is willing to offer anything for help in raising his daughter. As Mazzy and Foster begin to spend time together as a family with Bowie Jane, Foster is slowly falling for the woman that could break his daughter’s heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include several new members of the Pittsburgh Titans hockey club including team owner Brienne Norcross, and GM Callum Derringer. We are introduced to Mazzy large extended family, as well as Foster’s ex Sandra, and her boyfriend Chet.

FOSTER is a story of betrayal and vengeance, lies and manipulation, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is captivating but the conflict resolution was a little too rushed and felt incomplete; the romance is seductive-the chemistry is palpable; the characters are determined and animated.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 16, 2024

Boone Rivers uses his fame and fortune as a professional hockey player to his advantage, but not in the way most people would think. Volunteering as often as his busy schedule will allow, Boone meets one brave young boy who turns his world upside down.

As a first-line right winger for the Pittsburgh Titans, I thrive on the thrill of the game. I live for the smell of the ice, the cheer of the crowd and the way my heart pounds whenever I step into the arena. But once I’m out of my skates, my focus is on giving back to the city of Pittsburgh.

It’s funny how life puts people in your path. I meet Aiden while visiting the children’s hospital and I’m struck by the strength and resilience of this 12-year-old kid fighting for his life. As my visits continue, we bond over video games and hockey until one day Aiden’s older sister walks into his room and I realize there might be a bigger purpose here.

Lilly Hoffman has the weight of the world resting on her slight shoulders. Aiden’s illness isn’t getting better, she’s at risk of losing her job and their father is looking for the answers to his prayers at the bottom of a liquor bottle. I find myself wanting to lessen Lilly’s burden and what starts as a simple act of friendship turns into so much more. As we grow closer, I can’t help but fall for this fiercely protective and independent woman with a tender heart and bruised but not yet broken spirit.

As we face a future of never-ending uncertainty, I vow to be Lilly’s source of strength and comfort. Lilly and Aiden have reaffirmed to me the importance of giving and receiving love unconditionally, even in the darkest of times. And no matter what happens next, no one can take that from us.

Boone contains subject matter that may be sensitive to some readers. If you would like additional details, please visit the book page for Boone on my website.

Meeting hockey player Boone Rivers gives Lilly a chance at her own happiness but with the Pittsburgh Titans entering the playoffs, her brother’s illness worsening, and their father trying to get sober, Lilly battles between head and heart with the prospects that life is about to deal another blow. As her relationship with Boone becomes something more, the reality of what is heart breaking and sad. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Boone and Lilly, and the fall-out as Aiden’s health takes a turn for the worse.

The world building focuses on dying and death, family and acceptance, grief, addiction and recovery. Boone is the personification of support and resilience, as Lilly must come to terms with what is happening and why.

Release Date: November 3, 2023

Bain Hillridge is new to the Titans and he’s building relationships with his new team, both on and off the ice. If only he could keep his hands off his teammate’s little sister.

I loved playing for the Arizona Vengeance but I’m stoked to be part of the legacy the Pittsburgh Titans is building. A team that has risen from the ashes, I’m eager to help them achieve their goal of winning a championship. I’m also looking forward to becoming part of a new hockey family. A night out with my new mates introduces me to the little sister of our goalie, Drake McGinn, and I’m powerless to resist her.

Keira and I have an instant and insatiable attraction and it doesn’t take long before we find ourselves tangled up in one another. While Drake has declared his sister off limits, I’m not deterred because I always go for what I want. I refuse to heed Drake’s warnings and take great pleasure in goading him every chance I get. It’s become one of my favorite hobbies, outside of making his sister scream my name.

As things with Keira get hotter, feelings start to develop making it a little more complicated than we intended. But a bucket of ice-cold water is tossed on our relationship and we’re forced to reprioritize everything. Neither of us were looking for more than a hot fling but fates get twisted all the time. Faced with tough decisions, Keira and I know that no matter what choices we make, our lives are never going to be the same.

REVIEW:BAIN is the ninth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult PITTSBURGH TITANS erotic, hockey romance series focusing on the Pittsburgh Titans professional hockey team. This is Bain Hillridge, and oncology nurse Keira McGinn’s story line. BAIN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Some of the events of BAIN cross over with, and run parallel to the events of CAMDEN.

SOME BACKGROUND: Several months earlier, a devastating plane crashed claimed all but three members of the Pittsburgh Titans hockey team including owners, coaches and staff. Rebuilding the team, owner Brienne Norcross, offered positions to one-time professional and semi-pro players. These are their stories.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bain and Keira) BAIN follows the forbidden romance and relationship between our story line couple. Keira’s brother is the Pittsburgh Titans Goalie Drake McGinn, and the other half of team owner Brienne Norcross. Drake has made it his mission to warn the players away from his younger sister but the attraction between Bain and Keira is immediate and intense. Agreeing to a ‘friends with benefits’ arrangement, Keira and Bain keep their relationship on the down low until heart break threatens their tentative hold on their burgeoning affair. What ensues is the building relationship between Keira and Bain, and the potential fall-out as words said in anger push Bain out of Keira’s life.

The world building continues to focus on the Pittsburgh Titans professional hockey team: their friendships, their relationships, their families, their losses. As Keira and Bain struggle to keep from crossing an invisible, neither one is willing to admit there is more to their relationship than they could have ever imagined.

The relationship between Keira and Bain is a friends with benefits that quickly turns into something more. The entire team has been warned away from our story line heroine but Bain wants Keira, at least for now. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including several member of the Pittsburgh Titans hockey team: Drake and Brienne, Camden and Danica, as well as the introduction of Bain’s mother and father.

BAIN is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love; an over-protective brother, an independent sister, and a hockey player who is hoping for something more. The premise is inviting and edgy ; the characters are adventurous, charismatic and captivating; the romance is seductive and provocative.
