A team meeting of survivors and team members finds Camden Poe up close and personal with Danica Brandt, widow of Camden’s late teammate Mitch Brandt but throughout their growing relationship including Camden’s relationship with Danica’s nine year old son Travis, Camden struggles with issues of guilt, that will affect Danica’s growing love for our story line hero.What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Danica and Camden, and the potential fall-out as Camden battles between head and heart, and the team he is desperate to protect.

The world building continues to focus on the loss and plane crash that killed the Pittsburgh Titans. As the team rebuilds each member will find peace and happiness with someone they love.

The relationship between Danica and Camden is an acquaintance to friends to lovers in which Danica is looking forward to moving on from the past but Camden is hoping to keep everything on the down low. As Danica begins to fall in love, Camden begins to pull away, leaving Danica heart broken and alone. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, and passionate without the use of the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include several of the previous story line couples, including team owner Brienne Norcross, and Danica’s nine year old son Travis.

CAMDEN is a story of loss and grief, guilt and forgiveness, heart break, acceptance and love. The premise is captivating, engaging, and riveting; the romance is emotional and fated; the characters are broken but healing and strong.

Hendrix Bateman is one of The Lucky Three, a trio of players who were not on the Titan’s team plane the night it crashed. Feeling as if he’s been given a second chance, Hendrix is determined to make the most out of his life, but that doesn’t mean he’s not suffering from scars that can’t be seen.

When I lost my Titan brothers in the crash, it was a mixed bag of emotions. I was devastated and grief stricken, but I was also grateful to be alive. Yeah, that might cause a little—okay, a lot of—guilt, but now I’m determined to live each day as if it’s my last.

A night out with friends puts me in the crosshairs of Stevie Kisner—the devastatingly beautiful bar owner with a sharp tongue and a fire in her eyes that lets me know she has zero tolerance for guys like me. Now I need to decide if I’m going to let my past dictate my future or if I am willing to put my heart on the line to find out if Stevie is exactly what I think she is—my everything.

Hendrix has had enough with his current girlfriend, and dumps in a spectacular way in Jerry’s Lounge, a bar owned by our story line heroine. Several members of the Pittsburgh Titan’s are collecting money and toys for the under privileged, and Hendrix is about to meet his future in the guise of bar owner Stevie Kisner. Stevie battles between head and heart having watched the breakup, up close and personal, but a bet over a game of pool finds Stevie agreeing to a dinner together. Meanwhile, Stevie’s absentee mother, a woman who walked away from Stevie when our heroine was a child is about to upend Stevie’s life, pushing Hendrix out of the picture, and into his own spiral. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Stevie and Hendrix, and the potential fall-out as issues of trust force a wedge between our leading couple, a wedge that may be too large for our heroine to over come.

Stevie was raised by her father John ‘Bear’ Kisner, a motorcycle driving, tattoo artist whose overprotective nature threatens anyone who gets close to his only daughter but the past refuses to let go, and Stevie is about to experience the art of deception, first hand, a deception that threatens Stevie’s relationship with our story line hero.

The relationship between Stevie and Hendrix is one of immediate attraction but Stevie doesn’t have time for a relationship, and Hendrix is too ‘pretty’ for our heroine’s father ? . Stevie finds herself quickly falling for the man who is about to destroy her heart, a man who feels betrayed by the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Pittsburgh Titans Hockey club including Stone and Harlow (Stone #2). We are introduced to Stevie’s father John ‘Bear’ Kisner, and her mother, Hendrix’s aunt Rory, and his ex Tracy.

HENDRIX is a heart breaking story of betrayal, lies and greed, forgiveness, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is emotional and entertaining but a little bit predictable; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are desperate, determined, dynamic and captivating.

REVIEW:THE RUIN OF GODS is the eighth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s adult CHRONICLES OF THE STONE VEIL paranormal/fantasy/mythology series. This is demigod Maddox, and the god of Life and Death Zora’s story line. THE RUIN OF THE GODS can be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading the series in order but more specifically books one to five where Zora’s story begins. Zora is the sister of Finley Porter books one to five.

SOME BACKGROUND: Abducted at birth, raised in the Underworld as a human, Zora knew nothing but darkness and hate until the day of her twenty-eight birthday where she will come face to face with the sister she never knew. Sacrificing her life to save her sister, Zora would awaken a goddess, a goddess who continues to battle between head and heart with what was and what will never be.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Zora and Maddox) THE RUIN OF GODS follows goddess Zorasha aka Zora, as she struggles with her new found powers. With the ability to revive the recently deceased but an ability that requires the consensus of the gods, Zora is hoping to save Maddox’s brother Lucien from eternal damnation in the Crimson River but all is not well with the veil between the Underworld and the First Dimensions, and the gods have other issues to consider in the wake of a potential war. The relationship between Zora and Maddox is a friends to lovers to frenemies to broken hearts as Zora struggles with her direction going forward. For one year, since coming into her powers, Zora and the demigod Maddox have had a mutual agreement and attraction that is slowly destroying Zora’s heart. Zora is a goddess, wandering aimlessly through life, and she believes there is no place in her life for love or our story line hero. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and powerful gods and goddesses, Light and Dark Fae, many of whom we have me in the previous story lines: Zora’s sister Finley and her mate, King of the Underworld Carrick #1-5, Thalia and Bastien #6, Nyssa and Amell #7, as well as several gods and goddesses: Veda (god of Humanity) , Onyx (god of Conflict), Cato (god of Nature), Circe (god of Fate). The requisite evil is familiar and has many faces.

THE RUIN OF GODS is another complex and detailed story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, influence and magic, acceptance and love focusing on mythology, gods and goddesses, Fae and demons.. The fast paced premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are powerful, mythological and often mad.

Some of the events of CANNON cross over with, and run parallel to the events of book five Drake.

Cannon is a widower, having lost his first wife to cancer, and knows that to get involved with someone else means setting up parameters for a life with a man who spends half his time on the road. Ava Cavanaugh came to Pittsburgh with her former boyfriend but quickly found herself jobless, homeless in the wake of her boyfriend’s workplace affair. Struggling to make ends meet as a barista, Ava is fired when a night spent with Cannon results in her late arrival to open the store. As her relationship with Cannon slowly turns into something more, Ava searches for a job, a job that may take our heroine some place else but Cannon’s past is about to affect his future, and our hero pushes Ava out of his life. Cannon West knows the life of a professional hockey player and coach is no life from the people left behind. Going into a relationship with Ava means setting up boundaries and limits, boundaries that Cannon keeps moving to support himself. Ava Cavanaugh is well aware of the possibility of spending most of her time without the man with whom she is falling in love but Ava never expected to love Cannon to a ghost and guilt from the past.

The relationship between Ava and Cannon begins slowly as Cannon takes his time before asking Ava out. Ava has struggled in the months since moving to Pittsburgh, having lost everything in the wake of her boyfriend’s affair. Falling for Cannon was easy; taking on his guilt means moving forward without the man that she loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including several hockey players and their significant others; team owner Brienne Norcross and her boyfriend/ goalie Drake McGinn, as well as both Ava and Cannon’s extended families, and Cannon’s former mother in law Connie.

CANNON is a story of grief and guilt; betrayal and forgiveness; family and friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced premise is intoxicating and inspiring ; the characters are animated, dynamic and spirited; the romance is edgy and intimate. If you are a fan of hockey romance, Sawyer Bennett writes some of the best story lines to keep you entertained and addicted.

DRAKE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion, as there is an ongoing premise throughout. Fast forward to present day wherein Brienne and the Titans offer Drake a position as first string goalie, but our hero struggles in the wake of past betrayal and lies. Signing with Pittsburgh brings Drake up close and personal with our story line heroine, where they will embark on a secret affair that ends when Drake’s past returns, pushing Brienne out of his life. Told from dual first person perspectives (Amell and Nyssa) THE MIDNIGHT REALM focuses on the acclimation and survival of Nyssa McKnight in H*ll. Having lived a life of demons and darkness, Nyssa takes a life, before ending her own. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many we have met in previous story lines: Amell’s daughter Thalia (The Shadow Princess 6), god of life/death Zora, demigod Maddox; Dark Fae Truett, and his sister Sorcha, as well as several other Light and Dark Fae. The requisite evil has many faces.

REVIEW: COEN is the fourth instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult PITTSBURGH TITANS, erotic, hockey romance series focusing on the NHL’s fictional Pittsburgh Titans. This is star player Coen Highsmith, and artist Tillie Marshall. COEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story.

SOME BACKGROUND: Several weeks earlier, a devastating plane crashed claimed the lives of the entire Pittsburgh Titans hockey team including coaches and staff. Rebuilding the team, owner Brienne Norcross, offered positions to one-time professional and semi-pro players, including our story line hero.

Told from dual first-person perspectives (Coen and Tillie) COEN follows in the wake of hockey star Coen Highsmith’s suspension from the NHL. Since the plane crash that killed his former team, Coen has struggled with survivors remorse and personal guilt, a struggle that was about to spiral his professional career. Taking his anger out on fellow players and officials, Coen finds himself sidelined as the team is about to head into the Stanley Cup playoffs. Determined to quit hockey, Coen buys a cabin in the woods, preferring to become a recluse, all by himself but Coen never expected to come face to face with his closest neighbor, a woman who wants to change the landscape to further her art. Enter Tilden ‘Tillie’ Marshall, and the woman with whom Coen will fall in love. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Tillie and Coen, and the potential fall-out as Coen must come to terms with the loss of his friends, and the remorse that often threatens to overwhelm.

Tillie Marshall knows loss first-hand but has battled all of her life to fit in and belong. Bullied since childhood, Tillie empathizes with her new neighbor, a man who is currently struggling to fit in where he doesn’t feel he belongs. Coen Highsmith wants to be left alone but his new neighbor is determined to take down the trees between their mutual cabins. Threatening a lawsuit , Coen must battle between head and heart when he begins to fall for his new found enemy.

The relationship between Coen and Tillie begins acrimoniously when Coen discovers Tillie has plans to remove several trees. In an effort to stop Tillie from changing the landscape Coen hires a lawyer to stop the woman with whom he is falling in love. Love is about to change our story line hero, love that breaks through the grief and sadness of a man who is unable to forgive himself. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including most of the previous story line couples and characters, as well as Tillie’s closest friends, and the requisite small town bullies and gossips.

COEN is a story of loss, grief, guilt and sorrow, forgiveness and moving forward. The premise is captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are battered but starting to thrive.

This seedy underbelly is a dangerous place, particularly for a well-intentioned, yet somewhat naïve, small-town vet. What began as peaceful protests outside of local pet stores has escalated into something that threatens Abby’s safety, and I refuse to sit by and watch her get hurt. Somehow this raven-haired beauty has gotten under my skin, and I don’t hesitate to call in my teammates at Jameson to help keep her safe.

Now I find myself trying to balance my need to protect Abby while helping her successfully complete her mission, but also redirecting her focus long enough to show her that I’ve completely fallen for her. One thing is certain—this is going to be my toughest assignment yet.

We are introduced to Abby’s large extended family: her twin sister Katherine, as well as her brothers Ethan, Trey and Wade, and their parents Fiona and Thomas. Here’s hoping the author has plans for Abby’s brothers and sister.

CODE NAME: OMEGA is a story of family and relationships, forgiveness and acceptance, understanding and love. The fast paced, sometimes heart breaking premise is emotional and captivating; the romance is seductive and steamy; the characters are determined, energetic and dynamic.
