REVIEW: ADORE is the second of the ADDICTED TO YOU four part serial by KM Scott and follows the tumultuous relationship between Ian and Kristina. At the end of CRAVE volume 1- our couple had separated when Kristina panicked about her relationship with Ian. ADORE focuses on their personal and professional struggles and the impending rise in both of their media stars.

Kristina and Ian have issues with addictions and trust, and as such there were times when the overriding emotions tipped the scales of sensibility. While our couple are addicted to one another, their pasts control so very much of their present and future. Kristina is quick to run but she has experience with betrayal and hurt. Ian also has issues of trust but his manifest in immature actions and selfish needs.

ADORE continues to highlight the highs and lows, the yin and yang of a relationship that is both toxic and needy. There is plenty of erotic $ex and in the end, could it be the only thing that keeps this couple together? ADORE ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-you will want to know what happens next.

But addicts have a habit of wrecking things, even those they hold dear.

For Kristina Richards, Ian is everything. Love. Lust. Obsession. But even as she falls deeper in love with him and the madness they create together, she finds something she never expected to find in her time with him.

REVIEW:  SHATTER is the third of four installments in KM Scott’s ADDICTED TO YOU erotic romance serial focusing on actress Kristina Richards and author Ian Anwell. Told from alternating first person points of view SHATTER picks up five weeks after the events of ADORE wherein our couple has separated once again. Misunderstanding leads to relapse and our hero begins a downward spiral as Ian struggles with his addiction and losing the woman that he loves. But forgiveness is short lived when Ian and Kristina become headline news and with it a truth that sends Ian into another abyss.

The relationship continues to be centered upon their sexual needs and wants. For all of their declarations of love, Kristina and Ian have problems with fidelity and telling the truth. Their emotional issues, and need to run continue to hurt one another –over and over again. There is no denying that Kristina and Ian’s relationship is toxic and poisonous.

REVIEW: CLAIM is the fourth and final installment in KM Scott’s ADDICTED erotic romance serial focusing on actress Kristina Richards and author Ian Anwell. Told from alternating first person points of view (Ian and Kristina) CLAIM finds Ian on the run. When Ian discovers the truth about Kristina’s time away, he is no longer able to control the demons and leaves for places unknown. As Kristina navigates through the fall out, she makes it her mission to find Ian and beg for the forgiveness she does not deserve. What ensues is an erotic reaffirmation of their love but all does not end well for our leading couple.

The relationship continues to be volatile, explosive and almost co-dependent. You can’t deny there is a definite sexual need between Kristina and Ian but saying that I do not see anything beyond the heat and need. The $ex scenes are graphic and erotic. The characters are emotional and heartbreaking. There is so much back and forth, push and pull, yin and yang.

The conclusion to KM Scott’s ADDICTED TO YOU serial finds our couple facing an uncertain future but the epilogue fast forwards the timeline by three years, and in the ensuing time life has changed dramatically for Kristina and Ian. Friendships will change; a new direction in life will have to be addressed, but in the end Kristina and Ian will get their happily ever after.

Description:
Kylie Warner prides herself on being optimistic, but after finding her best friend in bed with her boyfriend and flunking chemistry, her upbeat attitude has taken a dive. Even an impromptu hook-up with her sexy new chemistry tutor only brightens her mood slightly. After all, it’s not like she’ll ever see the tattooed scholar again…

While he’s a whiz at complex equations, Jonathon Kadisch has trouble when it comes to figuring out women. So when Kylie tells him that she’s pregnant after their night of passion, he’s at a complete loss. He’s prepared to be a good father—unlike his own deadbeat dad—but he’s less prepared to fall for the genuine and alluring blonde bearing his child.

With emotions running high, Kylie wonders if Jonathon’s devotion is out of growing love or looming obligation. And when heartbreak threatens to tear them apart, Jonathon will have to fight for the only girl who’s ever made him feel whole…

Review:
Shatter by Erin McCarthy is the 4th book in her New Adult True Believers series. This series is about 4 best friends, doing what friends do; telling each other all their secrets, including their sex with boyfriends, partying, and just worrying and taking care of each other. Each book had one of the girls story, as they met their match. Shatter belongs to Kylie Warner, who is just coming off of the shock of finding out her boyfriend slept with her best friend.

Jonathon Kadisch, is a budding scientist, who could be considered somewhat of a geek, but he is also hot. While Kylie is trying to get over her ex, Nathan, she is worried her grades are failing. Asking for help with her chemistry class, she meets her new tutor, Jonathan (Darwin). It doesn’t take long before the vulnerable Kylie and Jonathon end having sex. But both agree…this was just a one night stand.

A few weeks pass, and surprise surprise, Kylie is pregnant. When Jonathon finds out, he is determined to support Kylie through this, as she wants to keep the baby, since she loves children. It becomes a difficult pregnancy for Kylie, but Jonathon and her friends are there to support her. But to no one’s fault, Kylie loses the baby.

What follows is a nice story of two people, totally different, but in a short time they realize that there was still something strong between them. With the pregnancy no longer an issue, can they overcome their differences to stay together?

Into the mix were Kylie’s friends and their boyfriends, who made this more fun. I did like Kylie and Jonathon together, but for some reason, there seemed to be something missing. Kylie truly was very likeable, bubbly, and fun, and even though Jonathan was different, they fell in love with each other. Perhaps it was Kylie’s lack of confidence that she is the best person for Jonathon. Her constant insecurities herself, added the angst to the story, and I personally thought this became somewhat annoying. Jonathon was a great guy, sweet and cute; a perfect guy for Kylie, and he had his own garbage with a very bad father figure, who plays a part in this story.

I enjoyed the story, it was a fast read, some humorous fun moments, and some really nice secondary characters, who had their own stories already told. Kylie and Jonathon were a nice couple, they had hot sex often, but I did not feel the chemistry between them. I also felt that some parts seemed redundant and at times immature. Shatter is a good fast read that tied in with the other stories in this series.

 Review:

Shatter by Joan Swan is the 4th book in her wonderful Phoenix Rising series.  I have read and reviewed every book in this series from the start, and have loved every moment of this fantastic ride.  I have been a big fan of Joan Swan from the first book, and Phoenix Rising has become one of my favorite series; as it is so well written; and each book has been filled with action, excitement, suspense, super team of friends, awesome couples, and steamy sexual chemistry between them.

Our hero in Shatter has been one that we have been waiting for from the start.  Mitch is one of our awesome and hot heroes, even though he has not been one of the men/women who developed unique powers due to a chemical explosion years before.  It is Mitch, who is Alyssa’s (heroine of the 1st book) brother, who had the powerful connections & money to help protect and fight the evil enemies from DARPA.   We knew Shatter would be Mitch’s story, as we learned at the end of Rush, about his long lost love, Halina.

We meet Halina early, as she has built herself a new identity, after she left Mitch, 7 years before.  Halina, being a scientist, worked for Schaeffer, our villain, who is behind the threats against our heroes.  When Mitch comes face to face with Halina, his anger is evident, and Halina is shocked that he found her.  Mitch wants the truth about why she left him, and her involvement with Schaeffer; the explosion that affected the members of the Firehouse, who now all have unique powers. Halina tries to escape Mitch a number of times, as she knows that once she is discovered, the enemy will kill him, to get what they want from her.  She has never stopped loving Mitch, and spent these years watching him from afar; staying away just to protect him.  Mitch finds some truths, which angers him even more, as he doesn’t understand or trust Halina, but he knows that he still loves her.

Once they get to the compound where everyone is staying together, the story becomes even more exciting, with the team learning more about Halina, her powers, as she too was exposed to the chemicals; and her research for Schaeffer that may have some answers.  The action is non stop, and it was just great to see all of our heroes together again, joining hands to fight a common enemy.  I loved loved Dex, Halina’s well trained guard dog, who becomes part of the team.  Most of all, I loved the romance between Mitch and Halina, even though Mitch was a bit rough with her early on, not knowing that Halina was trying to save him.  You knew they both belonged together, as their chemistry was off the wall.

I do not want to give spoilers, since this is an early review.  Shatter is a wonderful addition to Joan Swan’s Phoenix Rising series.  Each of the books in this series have been suspenseful, explosive non stop action, exciting, and tense;  with the added element of Joan’s wonderful blend of steamy sex for each couple.  If you want to read a book that has everything; excellent writing, romance, suspense, steamy sex, then look no further then Shatter.  But start with Fever, the beginning of this fantastic series.  Though there are some characters that can have their story told, Joan does tie up some loose ends, and Shatter could be the finale of this series, but I hope somehow we get to see more of these wonderful characters.  If you have not read this series, what are you waiting for?  When it comes to romance, suspense, with hot sexy couples, Joan Swan is one of the best.
