Told from dual first person perspectives (Livvy and Ethan) covering several years SHE WAS MINE FIRST follows the best friends to lovers to best friends relationship between Livvy and Ethan. Ethan and Livvy were childhood best friends but LIvvy came from money, and her father wanted someone else for our story line heroine. Years passed, Livvy became a lawyer, Ethan became a billionaire through app development but Livvy found herself engaged to someone else. Wanting her best friend at the wedding, Livvy asked Ethan to be her man of honor but Ethan was determined to prove he was the better man. In the days before the wedding, Ethan finds himself struggling with the potential loss of the woman he has always loved but in the end, Livvy’s will discover that all was not as it appeared to be.
The world building follows Livvy and Ethan’s back and forth including months to years apart but always there in their hearts and their minds. Livvy is a people pleaser, and as such, she wants to please her parents but in doing so, is about to send her own life spiraling out of control.
The relationship between Livvy and Ethan is a life-long friendship in which they were one another’s firsts: first kiss, first lover, first friend but Ethan was never good enough for Livvy’s parents, and in the end, Livvy was pushed towards another man. Livvy would never cross line between Ethan and her fiancé but secrets and lies were about to reveal, years of betrayal for our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Livvy’s mother and father, as well as her fiancé Beau Hunter, and their respective parents.
