REVIEW:Captured By A Sinner is book five in The Sinners Series by Michelle Heard. This is the book I had been waiting for.

Viktor Vetrov is twenty-five years old and the leader for the Russian Bratva Mafia. He is also a part of The Priesthood – a group of Mafia heads that are the convocation of the nation’s priesthood of organized crime.Viktor has agreed to help Nikolas Stathoulis take down the Sicilians that are invading his territory. When they invade the Sicilians property Viktor is caught off guard when he finds the granddaughter of the man they are there to kill in her bedroom. Seventeen-year-old Rosalie. Her entire family has just been wiped out for their business practices,Instead of killing her, since they never harm the innocent, he decides to kidnap her until she can fend for herself. Rosalie is one week away from her eighteenth birthday when everything she knows is ripped from her. Viktor sees that she is clearly unable to take care of herself let alone fend for herself. Rosalie was just about to turn eighteen when she lost everything she has ever known. Now she has been kidnapped and taken prisoner by none other than Viktor Vetrov. She has heard stories about him.He is ruthless and doesn’t care for anyone but himself. But once she realizes that Viktor isn’t going to hurt her, in fact he is trying to help her. She slowly starts to relax and enjoy her surroundings – at least until she is twenty-one.She understands that Viktor hasn’t hurt her, has only provided for her and has done everything to care for her. As she begins to see Viktor differently, she knows she cannot betray her family’s memory by falling for a man that was part of what took her family from her.

Viktor knows keeping Rosalie is for her own protection. He also knows it doesn’t look well to the outside world that he has kept this woman captive. But he has his reasons. He knows she would not be safe out in the real world by herself. He also knows when she turns twenty-one, he must release her. He begins to fall in love with this woman in his house, but he will not force himself upon her. He wants her to come to him willingly. The hardest thing he must do is let her go when she turns twenty- one like he promised her. But as soon as she is out in the world all hell breaks loose. Old scores come back and take their revenge on her. Not because of anything she has done, because of what her family before her has done. And once Rosalie finds out what her family was doing, she is rocked to her core.She should have stayed with the man that protected her, took care of her. The man she loves Viktor Vetrov.Her only hope is that Viktor finds her in time. Will Viktor be able to get to her in time, will he love her like she loves him?Only time will tell…

This was the story I was waiting for. Through all the other books you heard tell of Viktor keeping a young woman prisoner. But knowing Viktor you just know there is more to the story.
And this was it. Completely and totally recommend the whole series – even though this is a stand alone. You can’t pass up this delicious story highly recommend.

REVIEW: Mariya Koslov is the Bravata Princess. Her father is head of the Bratva Mafia.

She lives a life of luxury and shopping. But she has been trained by her father and best friend / brother Viktor to hold her own. She can fight with the best of them. She has spent her life surrounded by Mafia doings, but the only thing she has been able to think about since her hormones kicked in is Luca Cotroni, head of the Italian Mafia. She believes Luca doesn’t want bothered with her and only acknowledges her out of respect to her father and brother.

What she doesn’t know is that Luca feels the same about her but he has been busy building an empire fitting for her, and now as Mariya approaches her 28th birthday he is finally ready. Mariya takes Luca’s lack of interest personal and gives him nothing but bitterness and backlash every time she sees him. That is until she heads to Vegas for a birthday weekend with her brother Viktor and his best friend Luca. When Viktor decides to return to his suite, Luca and Mariya stay and party Vegas style. When they wake up the next morning they are married.

They decide to return home and when their parents get wind of what has happened, they are ordered to give marriage 6 months. With both Luca and Mariya secretly in love with each other they both agree to give the marriage a try.

Luca loves Mariya but when she is taken by an opposing mafia gang, all things change. He decides he will no longer hide the fact that he is in love with Mariya. After everything that Mariya has gone through she has decided also that she will no longer hide how she truly feels for Luca.

With a long recovery ahead of her Mariya sets out to get herself back to full physical ability, while Luca is there every step of the way to help her through her recovery. Their love blossoms and the feelings they have always felt for each other surface.

A wonderful mafia romance, that can be read as a stand-alone book, but every book in this series has been amazing, I highly recommend reading the entire series. Trigger warning for some mild violence.

REVIEW:Stolen By A Sinner by Michelle Heard is a full-length stand alone Turkish Mafia Romance.

Lara Nowak was born into being a maid for the Polish Mafia. She has lived a hard life of 22 years under her mafia boss Tymon Mazur. She has spent every moment of her life in fear of beatings, torture and death.

Tymon Mazur keeps a bullet with every employees name on it for when the time comes that he must end their lives. When Tymon Mazur’s mansion is raided by Turkish Mafia Boss Gabriel Demir, he accidentally shoots Lara and feeling like she could help him learn more about Mazur, he takes her home with him to see if he can get any information out of her. Once healed Lara is more than willing to work or do what ever she needs to so that she doesn’t get sent back to Mazur’s house.As Lara becomes endeared to other members of Gabriel’s family, he finds her annoying and infuriating. But after realizing the life she has had and that she really doesn’t know any valuable information on Mazur, Gabriel slowly lets down his guard and lets Lara into his life.

Gabriel is a strong willed, temperamental mafia boss who doesn’t take anything from anyone. He has a deep love and loyalty to his family and doesn’t usually allow anyone into his life. But Lara has a way of bewitching him with just her innocence alone. I loved how Gabriel went from hard, cold mafia boss to romantic, loyal lover in no time!

This story is full of pure innocence, Lara has lived a very sheltered life as a maid for the Polish Mafia.

Not being allowed to have friends, or even time for herself, when she is brought to Gabriel’s house her whole world changes. With people that care for her and look out for her she blossoms into an amazing confident young woman. The relationship with Gabriel slowly builds as we watch Lara navigate a life completely foreign to the one she has lived up until this point. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book.

Can be read as a stand alone, but also crosses over with the other books in the Sinner series. Wonderful fast paced story with lots of drama and excitement. I completely recommend. Trigger warning as there is adult situations, torture and murder. I recommend every book by Michelle Heard,

REVIEW:Taken By A Sinner is book one in the stand alone The Sinners Series by Michelle Heard.

Theresa Drakatos better known as Tess, is a 21 year old film student at the Vancouver Film School. Her mother Helena is about to marry former mafia boss Peter Stathoulis. When she goes to dinner to meet Peter’s family she gets more than she bargained for. She comes face to face with Peter’s son and current mafia boss Nikolas. Nikolas is a force to be reckoned with and it seems that every turn Tess is in conflict with him. Nikolas is pure brute force, tough as nails and intimidating as all get out. But Tess tries to stand her ground as much as she possibly can. She soon comes to realize that her life is no longer her own. And she will now be under the care of Nikolas.

From the moment he meets Tess, Nikolas knows his life is not going to have any sense of normalcy (if there even is any with the mafia) until he gets her married off and out of his hair. But Tess fights him every step of the way and he has never had anyone simply not listen to him. The more she rebels the more he starts to have feelings for her. He knows they come from different worlds and that the best he can do for her is find her a good husband. But on Tess’ wedding day things do not go as she thought planned. Her life turns upside down. Nikolas vows to protect her with every ounce of his being. But can he do that.

There is a war upon them. Can he keep her safe? Can he make her change her mind about him and fall for him? This story was a complete and total roller coaster. Nikolas is the arrogant mafia boss you want to hate but just can’t! I love the way Tess goes from a seemingly innocent school student, to a strong confident soul. As their love grows for one another you want nothing more than for them to have their happy ever after. But in true Michelle Heard fashion – that does not come easily. Highly recommend this series but trigger warning – this book has some violence and abuse trauma.
