ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 1, 2022

he demon prince is arrogant, dangerous, and hot as sin. He is also my new owner.

As a fae slave, I knew that one day I’d be sold at auction, but I never expected to be purchased by royalty, much less by the demon prince himself.

Rumors say that Prince Leo is a cruel master who murders his fae when they no longer entertain him. They say he’s just like every other species that harvest the magic in our fae blood.

But I know the truth.

There’s more to the demon prince than what the world sees. He has plans, big plans, and if I agree to help him, it could mean freedom for me and every other enslaved fae.

When the day comes that I’m given the chance for freedom, will I take it, even it means leaving Prince Leo forever? Or can I admit that the demon prince who owned my body might own my heart as well?

All books in the Sins of the Blood War series contain spicy tension, deliciously steamy scenes, characters who talk (and curse) like adults, and occasional moments of violence. Leo’s a prince who can do whatever he wants, after all, and in this book, what he wants is her.

REVIEW: Lauren Crowne is a new author to me, and after reading this book I’m hooked.

Sins of the Blood War is a new series, with demons/fae and supernaturals all living with humans. Vera is a fae slave whose blood is a valuable commodity, it’s used for recreational drug use by demons/humans and all of the supernatural world. Fae are nothing but cattle, to be brought and used, they have no freedom unless their owners give it. But Vera is loose, out on the big wide world, she wants to taste freedom and fun before she is sold…….

Prince Leo doesn’t like being a royal, he’d rather invent and be on his own. He hates the auctions he is forced to attend but he needs the fae that are being sold….. The couple first meet by accident, but Vera runs away before Leo can discover what she actually is. Second meeting she is bound and gagged and Leo recognises her!! She lied!! She’s fae not human…..

It sets off at a good pace, but it does slow down and finds it hard to regain the pace, but once it does it’s a sprint to the finish line. The chemistry and banter between Leo and Vera bounces all over the place, and he’s going to ignore his feelings for this intriguing little fairy….. Vera is not impressed with Leo, he’s a brute and a bully, his reputation has her scared. She knows it’s only going to be a matter of time before her new master kills and harvests her blood!

Love where this story is going, I did have a little inkling as to where the story was heading, but it still surprised me along the way. I liked the fact the demons had tails (so many don’t have wings/tails) and wings that stayed out. And Vera is hiding her own secret too, I did like how she wouldn’t stop giving up, she was going to escape if she could. And Leo might be a rough/gruff demon, but he was a sweetie underneath ? Can Leo persuade Vera to help him in his experiments? Can he really be trusted with his promises?

Ends on a cliffhanger, so I’m hoping it’s not long before the next book.

Definitely a recommended read.
