REVIEW: FANGS is the sixth instalment in Savannah Rylan’s contemporary, adult STEEL SCORPIONS MC erotic, MC romance series. This is MC president Fangs McAllister, and Julia’s story line. FANGS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

SOME BACKGROUND: Several months earlier the Steel Scorpions MC broke up a human trafficking ring run by the Devil’s Rage MC, and in the ensuing months a battle for territory has seen most of the Steel Scorpions’ bars and night clubs burned to the ground. The Devil’s Rage is demanding reparations for the loss of income, and has threatened all of the women connected to the Steel Scorpions MC.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Julia and Fangs) FANGS focuses on MC president Fangs McAllister as he purposely gets himself imprisoned by the Devil’s Rage MC but Fangs never expected to come face to face with Julia, a woman held captive, a woman desperate to rescue her sister, held hostage by the Devil’s Rage MC. Fourteen days in captivity, Julia continues to struggle to save her sister but her sacrifice meant nothing as all attempts to rescue were refused and ignored. Knowing their only option was to escape to save Julia’s sister, Fangs put a quick plan into motion, a plan that would sees lives lost but the escape and rescue of Fangs, Julia and Theresa. What ensues is the quick building relationship between Julia and Fangs, as the Steel Scorpions MC work together to take down a human trafficking ring run by the Devil’s Rage MC

The relationship between Fangs and Julia is quick to develop. A few days together in captivity meant Fangs had to formulate a plan but rescuing Theresa may be much more dangerous and difficult than Julia had imagined. Once free, Julia finds herself wanting something more from our story line hero, something that would quickly grow into their own happily ever after. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include Steel Scorpions MC members: Bender, Goose, Reaper, Angel and Viper, as well as Julia’s sister Theresa, women’s shelter coordinator Nadia, and Bullet, the requisite evil from the Devil’s Rage MC.

FANGS is a quick read; a story of rescue and recovery, friendships and family, relationships and love. The fast paced premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is an insta-lust to love impassioned relationship; the characters are energetic and determined.

With the Tease night club burned to the ground, burlesque dancer Lila Foster begins working at Twisted, the lone surviving club owned by the Steel Scorpions MC but all is not well as the Steel Scorpions continue to be targeted by an unknown assailant, and Lila’s past is about to come full circle. What ensues is the forbidden relationship between Lila and Viper, and the potential fall-out as Lila’s past ensures she never walks away, again.

Lila Foster has a stalker. Our heroine is on the run but her past is very powerful and always has a way of uncovering her whereabouts. Landing in the small town of Twin Bays, Lila knows it is only a matter of time before her stalker discovers where she now lives. Viper knows that to enter into a relationship with Lila means to cross a line drawn in the proverbial sand but Viper has fallen for our story line heroine, a fall that places himself and the MC in the direct line of fire.

The relationship between Viper and Lila is one of immediate attraction but Viper has been warned to stay clear of the dancers. The heart wants something it cannot have, and when Lila’s past demands her return, Viper becomes protector and guardian of the woman with whom he has fallen in love. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

We are reintroduced to the Steel Scorpions MC: Bender, Angel, Goose, Reaper and Fangs, as well as several prospects and Lila’s fellow dancers, and Lila’s stalker Wesley Abbott. Reaper’s story line is next.

VIPER is a story of obsession and infatuation, power and money, betrayal and vengeance, love and control. The fast paced premise is captivating, and entertaining the romance is erotic and intense; the characters are numerous, energetic, charismatic and determined. VIPER ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-the conflict has yet to be resolved.

“Thanks for bringing me home,” she said as she gripped her dressing room bag.

I slid my hands into my jean pockets to keep from reaching out for her. “Like I said, it’s my job.”

Her gaze raked down my body as she opened the door. “Uh huh.”

Jesus Christ, how I wanted to kiss her. I wanted to blanket her mouth with mine and back her into that apartment before I closed the door with her back. But I forced myself to stay put. She had almost been abducted by some crazy-ass drunk back at the bar. The last thing she needed was yet another man groping her body as if he felt entitled to it.

Besides, she worked for the club.

And Fangs would kill me if I became involved with any woman that worked for us.

“Well, you have a good night,” I said as I took a step backward.

She tilted her head. “Goodnight, Viper.”

I nodded. “Yeah, good night.”

“Night.”

I waved at her as I backtracked toward the stairs. “Night.”

She giggled. “You already said that.”

I winked. “So did you.”

Then, as she closed the door, I heard her flip the lock behind it, which made me feel comfortable about going down to my bike and leaving her for the night.

Even though I had to stuff my hand down my pants and rearrange my cock just so I could get on my bike and head home myself.
