REVIEW:  SWEET REGRET by K.Bromberg is a stand alone, contemporary, adult, erotic, rock star romance story line focusing on thirty year old, rock star Vince Jennings, and twenty-nine year old, PR assistant Bristol Matthews. SWEET REGRET is set in the author’s DRIVEN world, with the appearance of Vince’s band Bent, first introduced in SWEET ACHE (January 2015)

Told from dual first person perspectives (Vince and Bristol) SWEET REGRET focuses on the second chance relationship between rock star Vince Jennings and Bristol Matthews. Approximately eleven years earlier Vince Jennings walked away from the girl that he loved in search of some stability and peace having endure years of abuse at the hands of his father. Four years later, our couple would reconnect following a Bent concert, a reconnection that was about to change Bristol’s life forever. Fast forward to present day, Bristol, now working as a PA for McMann Media Management, a public relations firm, is assigned rock star Vince Jennings, the man who broke our heroine’s heart. Vince, in all of his rock star glory, is struggling. On hiatus from the band, Vince is attempting a solo career, a career he is hoping to push to the top with the help of McMann Media Management but Vince never expected to come face to face with the woman he loves, a woman who wants nothing to do with our story line hero. What ensues is the rebuilding but acrimonious relationship between Vince and Bristol, and the potential fall-out when Vince discovers the truth behind Bristol’s unwelcome and bitter refusal to work our story line hero.

Vince Jennings never knew his mother, and endured years of physical and emotional abuse at the hands of his father. Having to break his promise to Bristol, Vince ran without looking back, a run that would place him at the top of the rock and roll world. Vince didn’t do relationships and declared he never wanted children, and in this, broke every woman’s heart including the one woman who knew everything about our story line hero. Bristol Matthews’ heart was destroyed the day her neighbor and boyfriend walked away, promising to call whenever he could. The calls never came, four years would pass, and Bristol would reconnect with the man she still loved but a one night stand ended with Vince running again, a one night stand that would change Bristol’s life forever. As her career plans stalled, her parents’ marriage imploded and her heart torn into a million pieces, Bristol would direct her love towards someone else.

The relationship between Vince and Bristol is one of second chances; an emotional reconnecting with too many memories, too many secrets, and a difficulty history of running when the world began to overwhelm. History was about to repeat when Bristol’s secrets sends Vince into another spiral, secrets that Vince pushes our hero to lash out at the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are passionate and seductive.

The secondary and supporting characters include the members of the rock band Bent: Gizmo, Rocket, and Hawkin Play (Sweet Ache). Hawkin will become Vince’s support team and lifeline when our hero continues to spiral, causing another paparazzi nightmare. We are introduced to Bristol’s mother, her boss Xavier McMann, as well as Jagger Enzo Matthews.

SWEET REGRET is a story of secrets, regret, second chances, forgiveness and love. The premise is emotional and passionate; the characters are broken, desperate and determined; the romance is provocative and intense.
