ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 30,2017

As the millionaire owner of a chain of computer shops, Simon Traxel isn’t normally hands-on with mundane repairs. But when a fretful brunette shows up with her fried laptop and killer green eyes, he makes an exception. And as it turns out, she needs more hands-on help than Simon imagined.

Brainy soil scientist Cassie Michaels has spent her whole life feeling like a grungy tree trunk beside her delicate flower sisters. To make herself more interesting, Cassie invented stories about her wild sex life—stories she’s expected to retell in vivid detail at a bachelorette party. Cassie’s attempt to catalog her biggest whoppers goes awry when she spills wine on her laptop and lands in Simon’s shop with her sexy list frozen on the screen.

But Simon’s interest is piqued, and the two strike a deal to make Cassie’s make-believe sexploits a reality. From steamy public romps gone hilariously awry, to sexy antics with kitchen utensils, their quest to conquer The List is equal parts scorching hot and adorably awkward.

As they near the end of The List though, Cassie and Simon second guess their pledge to shake hands and say goodbye when they cross off the last item. But will Simon’s big secret make that the one fantasy that can never come true?

••••••••••••

REVIEW: THE LIST is the first installment in Tawna Fenske’s contemporary, adult THE LIST erotic, romance series. This is soil scientist Cassie Michaels, and millionaire businessman / computer geek Simon Traxel’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Simon and Cassie) THE LIST focuses on a bucket list, of sorts, for Cassie Michaels. Cassie is the brain of the family; while her sisters afford the opulent and rich lifestyle of which they are accustomed, our heroine spends her time researching soil samples and the beauty of nature. But there is a competitive nature to Cassie Michaels as she continues to one-up her sisters in the kinky and wild sex department-a department that is not as entertaining as she leads her sisters to believe. Enter Simon Traxel, a millionaire who owns a string of computer stores across America, and the man who will help Cassie cross off the items on her ‘f*cket list’. What ensues is the building relationship between Simon and Cassie, and Cassie’s heartbreak when she discovers that Simon isn’t the man she thought him to be.

The relationship between Cassie and Simon is one of mutual benefit. Simon volunteers to help Cassie complete her ‘f*cket’ list of sexy things to do but is unwilling to reveal anything about himself or his past. Cassie understands that her relationship with Simon is purely for fun and excitement but her heart begins to fall for a man she knows nothing about. The $ex scenes are fun, erotic and seductive with a little bit of spanking, sex games as well as some girl on girl action.

Throughout the story line we begin to learn a little bit of Cassie’s life but Simon is reluctant to reveal his true identity to the woman with whom he will fall in love. Simon is a millionaire who has a difficult time trusting the women in his life, but his secrets will destroy Cassie when the truth is revealed.

We are introduced to Cassie’s sisters Missy and Lisa, as well as Simon’s younger sister Junie- a young woman that is the center of Simon’s world.

THE LIST is a fun, romantic story line. There is romance, love, heartbreak and betrayal although the angst is short lived. Simon keeps secret the truth about who he is and what he does, and in this our heroine is all but destroyed by his lies of omission. The premise is entertaining and imaginative; the characters are heartwarming; the romance is energetic and explorative. THE LIST is a quick read to enjoy on a lazy, Sunday afternoon.

About the book: Release Date September 6, 2016

Talented chef Meg Delaney hasn’t spoken to her cheating ex-fiancé, Matt Midland, for two years. Ditching him at the altar after blurting out “I can’t” instead of “I do” would sour any relationship. But now, just as Meg is finally ready to bury the hatchet, she learns closure is permanently off the menu. And the kicker? Matt’s brother, Kyle, is back in her life, stirring up feelings that are equal parts guilt and lust.

Meg was the best thing that never happened to Kyle. He couldn’t make a move on his brother’s girlfriend—even if Matt didn’t value her nearly enough. The situation is even more complicated now that Meg’s bestselling aphrodisiac cookbook has spawned a legal battle with the Midlands. Maybe he should stay away. But love, like family, plays by its own rules. And the one woman he shouldn’t want might be the only one who’s perfect for him.

••••••••••

REVIEW: NOW THAT IT’S YOU by Tawna Fenske is a stand alone, contemporary, adult romance story line that looks at grief, betrayal, friendship and family. This is chef Meg Delaney, and metal artist Kyle Midland’s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives NOW THAT IT’S YOU follows Meg Delaney, who two years earlier, left her cheating fiancé Matt Midland, a man she had dated and loved for close to ten years, at the altar, and in the ensuing time has had no communication with him or his family. When Meg receives word that Matt was hospitalized and had undergone some minor surgery, she makes a decision to face her fears only to learn that her ex-fiance had died. Enter Kyle Midland, Matt’s younger brother, and a man who has loved his brother’s ex-girlfriend for as long as he can remember. What ensues is the rekindling of a friendship and a relationship between Kyle and Meg, and the fall out when Meg’s star, as a chef and cookbook author, begins to rise inciting a struggle between Meg and the Midland family.

The association between Kyle and Meg is a friends to lovers relationship that Kyle pursues with his late brother’s ex-fiance. Kyle’s family has not been able to forgive Meg for ‘abandoning’ their son at the altar yet knowing that Matt was the one who had the affair. In this, there are some questionable emotional responses to what happened and why. In my opinion, our heroine is the hurt and injured party throughout the story, yet she is built up and made out to be a b*tch and my comfort level with the backlash and Meg’s resulting reactions was disconcerting at best. I struggled with the Midland family’s back and forth attitude towards our story line heroine; there was no consistency with their reception and feelings-one moment she was the enemy, and the next she was the best thing in their lives. And to add insult to injury Kyle Midland supported his family’s reaction, leaving our heroine to struggle with the accusations and insults alone. I was not feeling the love from the story line hero. I will add that everyone struggles with grief differently and at a different pace so perhaps the attitudes and emotions were as a result of the intense sorrow and pain but the presentation in a romantic story line tempered many of the happy feels that would have otherwise developed.

NOW THAT IT’S YOU was a difficult read for me in that the reactions and resulting drama was unsettling and uncomfortable. Kyle’s actions (as it pertained to his brother’s affair) and attitude towards the woman he claimed to love was abhorrent and confusing; and our heroine essentially gave up without a fight. My enjoyment level was low although in the beginning there were a number of humorous moments when Kyle and Meg find themselves part of a Live Action Role Play group just days after Matt Midland had died. I was hoping for the fun and humor to continue but sadly, it was limited to a few pages. For me, the premise was awkward and somewhat tragic; the characters were passionate in what they believed; the romance is unrealistic considering Kyle’s behavior towards the woman that he loved. NOW THAT IT’S YOU is a well written story that got an intense reaction from this very prolific reader.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 14, 2015

Uncovering this sexy geek’s charm is easy. Keeping her hands off of him is impossible.

While he may look like the love child of a movie starlet and an NFL linebacker, Ben Langley has the people skills of a half-drowned porcupine. Why socialize when there are chemistry labs and bad sci-fi flicks? If he has any hope of taking the helm as CEO of the family business, Ben needs an image makeover. Pronto.

Enter Holly Colvin, owner of First Impressions public relations and branding firm, and the woman who just saved Ben from the clutches of an over-attentive sales clerk. Holly’s rebranded hundreds of companies in her career, but she’s never rebranded a person. The guy clearly needs help, though, and she’s just the woman for the job.

With the clock ticking for them both, Holly and Ben face off over wardrobe malfunctions and business jargon that sounds a lot sexier than it should. But can Holly make Ben into the man he thinks he should be without losing the man she’s starting to love?

•••••••

REVIEW: THE FIX UP is the first installment in Tawna Fenske’s contemporary, adult FIRST IMPRESSIONS erotic, romance series. This is CEO Ben Langley, and public relations expert Holly Colvin’s storyline.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Ben and Holly) THE FIX UP focuses on Holly’s latest ‘rebranding’ job. Ben is the new CEO of Langley enterprises and he is in desperate need of a make over and influx of people skills. Enter Holly Colvin, the owner o First Impressions PR and Branding Firm, and the woman with whom Ben will fall in love. While Holly attempts to correct Ben’s socially awkward people skills, Ben will work at seducing the woman in charge using bad movies, popcorn and flannel pajamas.

There is plenty of sexual innuendo, and euphemism interjected throughout the storyline. Ben is an engineer who has designed a new product, and with it comes plenty of sexual analogy as Ben tries to explain to Holly what it is he is planning to do. Ben’s lack of self-confidence is a detour from the usual self-confident billionaire.

THE FIX UP is a sweet story; a forbidden romance between Holly and her business client Ben, but a romance that is going to happen regardless of Holly’s professional ethics. The premise is fun and full of sexual banter; the characters are entertaining and light-there is not too much angst or personal reflections of self pity and pain but I did have one issue as it pertained to Holly’s ex-husband. Holly’s ex plays a pivotal role in Holly’s financial future, and throughout the story, his control and power over Holly’s independence is a conflict that is addressed on several occasions, and yet, there is never any resolution and we never do meet the man in question. I have to wonder why the constant reference when nothing ever came to fruition.

excerpt

The saleswoman turned and scurried away, leaving Ben to stare down at the wife now affixed to his arm. She tucked her hair behind her ear and glanced the direction the saleswoman had retreated.
“I hope I read that right.” The brunette scooted out from under his arm, and he instantly missed her softness. She looked up at him with those odd violet-gray eyes and smiled. “You looked like you were being eaten alive there, but too polite to tell her to back off.”
“Eaten alive,” he repeated, a little mesmerized by the woman’s eyes. “I’m not entirely sure.”
“Seemed like that’s what was going on. Salesgirl sees a big guy with a big budget and big—” she paused, then gave a small shrug. “Well, sometimes it brings out the worst in women.”
“Thank you,” he said, meaning it. “I’ve been flying back and forth between cities all week, so I’m a little jetlagged and distracted. I guess I wasn’t even a hundred percent sure I was being—uh—”
“Hit on? Ogled? Mentally undressed?”
“Right.” He cleared his throat. “Not until you pointed it out. Thanks for the rescue.”
“No problem. Pay it forward sometime.”
“Is that real? It’s huge.”
She blinked, then glanced down at the paperweight-sized rock adorning her ring finger. “Nah, I keep it in my purse for when I want to avoid getting hit on at ladies’ night.”
“Does it work?”
“Not with the real jackasses, which probably defeats the purpose, huh?”
He nodded, not sure what to say to that. “I’m sorry, what was your name again?”
“Holly. Holly Colvin. I’m the owner of First Impressions.”
“First Impressions?”
“We’re a public relations and branding firm that specializes in creating and remaking corporate identities.” She fished into her purse to pull out a business card. She held it out to him and Ben started to reach for it, but Holly withdrew her hand.
“Shit. Vampira the Sales Queen is headed back here.”
Before he could say anything, Holly was sliding her hand around to cup his ass. For a few beats, he thought she was copping a feel, and he hoped like hell she kept doing it. Then he realized she was tucking her card into his back pocket. She grinned and tilted her head back to look up at him.
“Gotta commit to the role, right?”
“Right,” he murmured, staring down into those slate-speckled eyes. “We certainly do.”
“I suppose we could throw in a little something extra if you really want her to buy it.”
“Like what?”
Her lips parted slightly, almost like she was braced for a kiss. Or was that his imagination? It seemed hot in here, and he was getting dizzy, and now all he could think about was claiming those perfect lips.
“I’m sure you’ll come up with something,” she murmured.
Her mouth looked so soft, so inviting, and he could have sworn her lashes fluttered low the way they might if she were waiting for him to make a move. A big move.
He knew what he needed to do. What he wanted to do.
And with that, he bent and kissed her.

Protector for HireKeeping her safe is crucial. Guarding his heart is impossible.

Haunted by his time in Iraq, former soldier Schwartz Patton goes off the grid, retreating deep into Montana’s untamed wilderness. Now, ten years into his self-imposed solitude, his brother tracks him down and asks for a favor. A woman is in danger, and she needs help…and Schwartz is the only one who can protect her.

Designer-loving city girls like Janelle Keebler don’t belong in the wilderness. Unless, of course, they’re witnesses to a murder by their psycho drug-trafficking ex-husbands. Still, Janelle can’t help the immediate physical response she has to her sexy-as-sin protector that leaves her wanting more than she could have ever imagined. Even if he does make terrible coffee…

Every word, every touch, every kiss ignites a need Schwartz thought he’d lost forever. He can’t stop the desperate attraction simmering between him and Janelle, even if he wanted to. Even if it means it could get them both killed.

•••••••••••••

REVIEW: PROTECTOR FOR HIRE is the fourth installment in Tawna Fenske’s adult, contemporary Front and Centre romance series. This is former US soldier Schwartz Patton, and graphic designer Janelle Keebler’s storyline. Janelle is Anna’s sister and Schwartz is Grant’s brother (both from Best Man for Hire #3). PROTECTOR FOR HIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storylines is revealed when necessary. Each FRONT AND CENTRE Patton sibling is named after a famous US General (MacArthur, Sheridan, Grant) and in this our hero’s name is Schwartzkopf Patton

Told from dual third person perspectives, PROTECTOR FOR HIRE finds Janelle Keebler in hiding. Her psycho ex husband-murderer/drug trafficker/all around evil man- is on the run, searching for Janelle in the hopes of ‘convincing’ his ex wife that it would be prudent if she forgot everything that she knows and saw. Janelle was oblivious to her ex husband’s business and in this she believes her ‘picker’ is no longer working. Enter Schwartz Patton-the man who has been tasked with protecting Janelle; keeping her hidden in the remote wilderness of Montana. What ensues is a building relationship between two completely opposite personalities and the realization, for Schwartz, that to move forward he has to learn to forgive himself.

Schwartz Patton has been off the grid for almost a decade. Ten years earlier, a roadside bomb in Iraq wiped out his team, leaving a gravely injured Schwartz as the lone survivor. Survivor’s guilt and the belief that he led his team to their deaths finds Schwartz living with his guilt and his wolfdog ‘Sherman’ in the Montana Wilderness. But family is never far away from Schwartz’s mind, as he continues to keep track of birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations and births.

The relationship between Schwartz and Janelle is one of immediate attraction but Schwartz has been without companionship for so long that the regulars in the small town presumed our hero was ‘all sorts of crazy’ or a mute. As the storyline progresses, so too does the relationship between our leading couple, as Schwartz tries not to succumb to Janelle’s feminine allure and the scent of her designer bath oil. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative; Schwartz will lose his ‘phone sex virginity’ to Janelle.

PROTECTOR FOR HIRE is a sexy and romantic storyline that ends with another Patton family member finding love and a happily ever after. There are moments of giggle-worthy humor as we are introduced to the local townsfolk and their attempts to gather information about Janelle and Schwartz aka Triple M. And we can’t forget about Schwartz addiction to the toaster pastry-POP TARTS, and Janelle’s need for a great cup of coffee. The sexual innuendo is cause for a few guffaws and hearty groans.

The world building continues to focus on the Patton siblings and their spouses with a little cameo from the family matriarch Stella Patton. I will point out I am not a fan of the name Schwartz. I get it; all of the siblings are named for famous American Generals but Schwartz is probably the least romantic name I have ever encountered in a romance novel-by far-except for one female heroine named Brannislava. 😉

••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: BEST MAN FOR HIRE is the third installment in Tawna Fenske’s adult, contemporary Front and Centre romance series. This is U.S. Marine and amateur photographer Grant Patton, and wedding organizer Anna Keebler’s storyline. Anna has been hired to organize Sam Kercher and Sheri Patton’s (Marine For Hire #1) Kauai island wedding and along the way, Anna will fall fast and hard for Sheri’s ‘perfect’ brother Grant Patton. What ensues is a building relationship between two people whose view of marriage is less than stellar. BEST MAN FOR HIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives, BEST MAN FOR HIRE follows Anna as she has not one, not two but four island weddings to coordinate in the Hawaiian Islands. When her wedding photographer quits after a rowdy game of paintball where the oblivious Grant mistakes the cameraman as a potential shooter, Anna becomes desperate for a wedding photographer. Enter Grant Patton, an amateur photographer and the best man at one of the weddings Anna has been hired to organize. As their ‘business’ relationship turns into something more, Anna begins to realize that perhaps she has been wrong about the potential benefits of marriage and love.

The relationship between Anna and Grant is sexual, sensual and one of immediate attraction but both of our leading characters refuse to give into the idea of marriage and a happily ever after. Grant is consumed by guilt from a past indiscretion; and Anna has been burned by her parent’s divorce. While Grant sees their relationship as sexy and fun, Anna begins to fall in love with a man whose secrets are tearing him apart. There is plenty of sexual innuendo between our couple-every word takes on sexual and provocative meaning.

The secondary and supporting characters include Sam and Sheri (book 1) as well as Kelli and Mac from book 2 (Fiancee for Hire). We will be introduced to Grant’s family including his sharpshooter mother who tells it like it is –there is no holding back Stella Patton when it comes to talking about sex and sexual situations. Anna will hire her sister Janelle as her island wedding assistant-Janelle’s story will be told in the next installment –Protector for Hire-where Janelle finds love with Schwartz Patton- a former soldier who has gone off the grid.

BEST MAN FOR HIRE is a sexy, passionate and captivating storyline. The characters are engaging, charismatic, and funny; the building romance is provocative and intense. Tawna Fenske seamlessly blends the previous storyline couples into an ensemble story where love will flourish under the Kauai Island sun. There are humorous moments as the brothers argue over who doesn’t want to be the best man; and of course, we cannot forget the bridal shower ‘gifts’ that brought about some embarrassing moments for the bride-thanks to her mother’s running commentary.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 21, 2014

Former Marine MacArthur Patton has made a small fortune on top-secret government contracts and black-ops missions, but his new assignment involves something more dangerous—marriage.

Well, fake marriage anyway.

To keep weapons out of the hands of terrorists, Mac has to secure a fiancée. A sweet, demure, compliant fiancée to serve as his arm candy for a few weeks while he completes the covert arms deal in Mexico. His sister claims to know just the woman, and sends her best friend to play the role.

“Sweet” and “demure” aren’t in Kelli Landers’s repertoire. A badass veterinarian who neuters big dogs and bigger men on a regular basis, she can’t wait to bring Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Detached to his knees. Her longtime crush on the commitment-phobe makes her plan to seduce him even sweeter.

Love wasn’t part of the plan, but the deeper Mac and Kelli fall into their ruse, the more danger they attract, until more than just their hearts are on the line…

•••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: FIANCEE FOR HIRE is the second instalment in Tawna Fenske’s adult contemporary Front and Center erotic romance series. This is former marine MacArthur (Mac) Patton and veterinarian Kelli Landers’s storyline. Mac and Kelli were first introduced in the first instalment ‘Marine for Hire’-Mac is Sheri’s brother and Kelli is Sheri’s best friend. Although this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone without too much difficulty.

The focus of the storyline is Mac’s need for a ‘fake fiancee’. Under cover, working on an illegal arms deal, Mac let it be known to his contacts in Mexico that he was newly engaged. Needing someone to portray his fake fiancée, Mac looks to his sister’s best friend Kelli. Little does Mac realize but Kelli has had a crush on Mac since she was a young girl.

The relationship between Mac and Kelli is one born of necessity that turns into something more. Both Mac and Kelli are afraid of commitment; afraid of losing someone they love; and afraid to allow anyone close enough to inflict heartbreak and pain. Mac barely remembers Kelli as his sister’s best friend and discovering there is more to Kelli than a pony-tailed little girl, leaves Mac reeling with emotions he cannot explain. Playing along with the impending nuptials, Kelli and Mac find themselves thrown into dangerous situations where Mac nearly loses Kelli on numerous occasions. Someone is out to destroy Mac’s plans using Kelli as a pawn in an arms deal that goes terribly wrong.

Tawna Fenske pulls the reader into a story of forbidden love between two people who go into the fake relationship knowing that nothing will ever come of it in the end. But like everything in life, nothing is ever a given when Kelli and Mac open their eyes and hearts to the possibility of a happily ever after.

FIANCEE FOR HIRE is a fast paced, erotic and intimate look at a relationship built upon a lie. The secondary characters include Mac’s mother Stella and brother Grant, as well as the armed players in a game of terrorism and weapons deals. Mac’s sister Sheri makes an appearance as the go-to woman for her best friend when things begin to heat up between Kelli and Mac.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Re-release July 1, 2014

She thought she’d sworn off military men for good…

Sam Kercher is every inch a wickedly hot Marine. Tall. Sexy. Lethal. When his best friends call in a favor, Sam is forced to face an entirely new line of duty—playing nanny for their newly divorced sister and her squirming seven-month-old twin boys. If Sam can dissemble an M16 in his sleep, diaper duty should be a cakewalk…right?

Unfortunately, Operation Nanny isn’t quite that simple. Sheridan has sworn off overbearing military men, so Sam must protect her from her dirtbag ex without revealing just how much he has in common with her brothers. Or that he’s been ordered not to touch her. Ever. Problem is, Sheri’s one hell of a gorgeous woman, capable of making this hard-bodied marine even harder. And Sam wants her bad.

Protect the girl. Care for the babies. Hide his identity. And keep his hands off. But even the most disciplined Marine has weaknesses…and Sheridan is one Sam might not be able to resist.

••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: MARINE FOR HIRE is the first instalment in Tawna Fenke’s contemporary, adult Front and Center erotic romance series. This is marine Sam Kercher and divorced mom Sheridan (Sheri) Patton-Price’s storyline. Sam is on leave from the marine’s pending the results of an investigation and his former military buddy and best friend MacArthur (Mac) requests a favor-become his sister’s ‘manny’ for her seven month old twin boys while keeping an eye out for her deviant ex-husband.

The focus of the storyline is the building relationship between Sam and Sheri. After catching her husband in bed with a younger woman following the birth of their twins, Sheri is slowly realizing that raising seven month old twins and working full time is impossible without some much needed help. Raised in a family of marines and married to an alpha military male, Sheri has sworn off military men and all of the problems that come with. Enter Sam Kercher, a man hired by Sheri’s brother Mac to look after the babies-only Sam must keep secret that he is a marine.

The attraction between Sheri and Sam is immediate and hot. Sam first met Sheri years before but Sheri has no clue how Sam fits into her brother’s life. As Sheri and Sam dance around their sexual attraction to one another, Sheri’s ex husband makes a play to get his family back. Sam is a man determined to look after Sheri and the boys but soon realizes that he wants Sheri for so much more.

The secondary characters include Sheri’s brother Macarthur and her BFF Kelli. Mac and Kelli’s storyline is next in Fiance For Hire. Mac is another alpha marine male who knows a thing or two about protecting the people that he loves and Kelli is a veterinarian who has had a thing for Mac for years. The world building pulls together the sights and sounds of Hawaii; the world of the U.S. Marines; and a group of friends and family who will do just about anything to protect those that they love.

MARINE FOR HIRE is a fast paced, sensual although predictable storyline about two people destined for one another who must move past the obstacles of previous heartbreak and betrayal. Tawna Fenske writes a story with a little bit of mystery, suspense, romance, sex, passion and a happily ever after. We should all be able to find a ‘manny’ like Sam Kercher and it doesn’t hurt that he knows a thing or two about raising children and making the beds.
