In FALLING FOR MR. BAD…
Sable Montgomery loves her single, do-as-she-pleases small-town life. She sees family often, spends her days working in her auto shop and many evenings playing at a local pub with her band, Surge. She has no desire to settle down or let any man tell her what to do. When Surge is offered what most people would consider the chance of a lifetime to tour with and open for Bad Intentions, the hottest rock band of the decade, her bandmates are all in, but she’s determined to walk away. Sable has no patience for glitz, glamour, or overinflated egos, and that includes the infuriatingly hot billionaire sent to wrangle her into submission.

Taking over as manager for his brother’s band wasn’t on business mogul Kane Bad’s agenda last year, much less negotiating with the stubborn and beautiful lead singer for Surge, but there’s nothing he won’t do for family. Including trying to stifle his desire for Sable. He needs to convince her to accept the contract, but he’d rather wrangle the sexy, headstrong, boot-wearing, tough-talking musician into his bed.

Loyalties are tested, lies are told, and greedy pleasures are satisfied. Are they just a chorus between chaotic verses, or will falling for Mr. Bad be Sable’s greatest love song?

REVIEW: FALLING FOR MR. BAD is the eleventh instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult THE BRADENS AND MONTGOMERYS, PLEASANT HILL / OAK FALLS erotic, romance series, a cross over with the author’s Bradens/Bad Boys After Dark series, set in the author’s Love in Bloom world. This is billionaire businessman, musician and promoter Kane Bad, and singer/mechanic Sable Montgomery’s story line. FALLING FOR MR. BAD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from omniscient dual third person perspectives (Sable and Kane) FALLING FOR MR. BAD focuses on the secret relationship between our story line couple. Unbeknownst to Sable Montgomery, a friend organized a secret audition for Sable and her band Surge, with promoter Kane Bad but Sable wanted nothing to do with touring or playing outside of her small town of Oak Falls, having not taken into consideration the members of the band. Kane Bad knows talent when he sees it, and Kane knows there is something special about our story line heroine. Convincing Sable to a five month tour meant keeping his attraction to Sable on the down low but one night together proved to be the start of something more. What ensues is the building but secrets relationship between Sable and Kane, and the fall-out when their secret is revealed, quite possibly destroying friendships and the band in the process.

The world building follows several paths including issues of family struggles; tempestuous and strained friendships with the members of the band; the burgeoning popularity of our story line heroine; and the growing love between two people whose relationship is about to explode for all of the world to see.

The relationship between Kane and Sable begins acrimoniously as Sable rescues Kane from the side of the road. Sable is immediately put off and put out by Kane’s attitude and ideas; Kane’s attraction to Sable is immediate and intense. The $ex scenes are erotic and provocative .

As per Melissa Foster’s story telling, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful, wonderful and familiar secondary and supporting characters from the author’s numerous interconnected series. We are reintroduced to Kane and Sable’s large extended and growing families, as well as the members of Sable’s band Surge: brothers JP and Chris Dunn, Lee Jenkins, Tuck Wilder.

FALLING FOR MR. BAD is a story of family and friendships, fame and jealousy , secrets and lies, acceptance and love. The premise is wonderful and captivating; the characters are determined and charismatic; the romance is seductive and passionate but …I cringed at Kane Bad’s nickname, used 23 times and then some.
