ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 18,2021
The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city.
Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts.
I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time.
Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was. You see, that unexpected invitation I received? Well, it hadn’t actually been addressed to me—it was sent to my ex-roommate who’d bounced a check for two months’ rent and moved out in the middle of the night. I figured she owed me an expensive night out, but I guess, technically, I was crashing the wedding.
Once caught, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. As I bolted for the door, I might’ve plucked a few bottles of expensive champagne off the tables I passed, all while the gorgeous, angry groomsman was hot on my tail.
Outside, I jumped into a taxi. My heart ricocheted against my ribs as we drove down the block—but at least I’d escaped unscathed.
Or so I thought.
Until I realized I’d left my cell phone behind at the table.
Take one guess who found it?
This is the crazy story of how Hudson Rothschild and I met. But trust me, it’s only the tip of the iceberg.

REVIEW:THE INVITATION by Vi Keeland is a stand alone, contemporary adult, erotic, romance story line focusing on businessman Hudson Rothschild, and perfumist Stella Bardot.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Hudson and Stella) THE INVITATION follows the building romance between businessman Hudson Rothschild, and perfumist Stella Bardot. A misdirected invitation finds our heroine, Stella Bardot, along with her best friend Fisher, crashing the swanky New York wedding of Olivia Rothschild and Mason Royce wherein Stella would meet businessman Hudson Rothschild, the man with whom she would fall in love but all is not well when Hudson discovers that Stella is an uninvited guest, posing as someone else, and the fall-out almost paralyzes our heroine’s future. Needing some start up for her own perfume company, Stella must face down Hudson Rothschild, and our hero wants nothing to do with our story line heroine. What ensues is the building professional, personal and romantic relationship between Hudson and Stella, and the potential fall-out as Hudson’s life is about to spiral out of control when his past reveals betrayal and deceit.
Hudson Rothschild is a single father who shares custody of his daughter with his former wife. Struggling with the failure of his marriage, Hudson battles between head and heart when it comes to Stella Bardot, in the face of her deception, secrets and lies but a successful launch of Stella’s perfume company finds our couple working towards their own happily ever after. Stella Bardot knows betrayal first hand having found her ex-fiance in a compromising position but it was not only her ex-fiance that destroyed her heart. Our heroine likes to collect journals and diaries, and in this, Stella lives the lives of the people, from the pages inside.
The relationship between Hudson and Stella begins as a lie, and struggles in the face of Stella’s deceit. A quick building professional relationship leads to a slow building romance but Hudson is about to face a betrayal that may affect their relationship going forward. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Hudson’s sister Olivia Rothschild, who is the catalyst pushing Stella towards a successful business launch. Fisher is Stella’s best friend and confident, and Jack is Hudson’s best friend is the VP of a large media conglomerate.
THE INVITATION is a story of betrayal and deceit; secrets and lies; business and pleasure; romance and love. The premise is imaginative, inviting, decadent and not without some twists and turns; the romance is spicy and sexy; the characters are sassy, flirty and spirited.
