ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 7, 2024
Viola
Once upon a time, I loved a man with my whole heart.
But unlike the romance stories I write, it wasn’t enough for a happily ever after when he chose the violent Iron Outlaws motorcycle club over me.
Now, I write books, enjoy a quiet life, and look after the miracle we created, the little girl I never told him about.
Except, suddenly, there are men at my door looking for him.
And there is only one place I can go for help.
Bates
Viola broke my heart when she turned down the cut and engagement ring I offered and disappeared from my life.
Now, she’s turned our love story into a steamy bestseller, complete with the happily ever after she wouldn’t give us.
But that isn’t the only secret she’s been keeping from me.
And now our biggest rivals plan to use her and the little girl with blue eyes and dimples just like mine as collateral to control my club leaving her no choice but to ask me for help.
She’s going to hate me for bringing violence to her door, but I’ll die trying to keep the two loves I lost alive.

REVIEW:THE LOVES WE LOST is the sixth instalment in Scarlett Cole’s contemporary, adult IRON OUTLAWS MC erotic, romance series. This is Iron Outlaws enforcer Miles ‘Bates’ Graydon, and MC romance author Viola Mills’ story line. THE LOVES WE LOST can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Miles and Viola) with a final chapter from Halo, THE LOVES WE LOST follows the second chance relationship between our story line couple. Approximately six years earlier, Viola struggled with Miles’ need and participation with the MC lifestyle, and walked away from the man that she loved. Fast forward to present day, Miles aka Bates will discover that Viola is now writing steamy MC romance novels, using his last name as part of her author persona. Desperate to confront the woman who broke his heart, Bates will soon discover that the life of the MC is about to threaten the life of the woman he still loves, and the daughter he knew nothing about. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship between Viola and Miles, and the potential fall-out when the criminal organization known as the Righteous Brotherhood takes aim at the Iron Outlaws MC, and the family Miles is so desperate to reclaim as his own.
The world building focuses on the war between the MC and the Righteous Brotherhood, who want to control the docks and the import of drugs. Seizing whatever opportunity they can to stop the organization, the MC will discover that their actions have consequences, and Viola and her daughter are next in line.
The relationship between Viola and Bates aka Miles is one of second chances: a rekindling relationship in which Viola continues to struggles with the MC lifestyle, a danger that will become front and center for her and her daughter. Miles is hoping for a second chance to start over, to know his daughter but threats from the outside take aim at our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting couples and characters, many of whom we have met in the previous story line. We are introduced to three new prospects, as well as Viola and Miles’ daughter Avery.
THE LOVES WE LOST is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and captivating; the romance is provocative and intense; the characters are determined, dynamic and desperate.

The tattoo across my right hip says it all really. A Life Less Ordinary. Inked by the amazingly talented Luke Wessman at the Wooster Street Social Club (a.k.a. New York Ink). Why is it important? Well, it sums up my view on life. That we should all aspire to live a life that is less boring, less predictable. Be bold, and do something amazing. I’ve made some crazy choices. I’ve been a car maker, a consultant, and even a senior executive at a large retailer running strategy. Born in England, spent time in the U.S. and Japan, before ending up in Canada where I met my own, personal hero – all six and a half feet of him. Both of us are scorpios! Yeah, I know! Should have checked the astrological signs earlier, but somehow it works for us. We have two amazing kids, who I either could never part with or could easily be convinced to sell on e-bay.
I’ve wanted to be a writer for a really long time. Check through my office cupboards or my computer and you’ll find half written stories and character descriptions everywhere. Now I’m getting the chance to follow that dream.
