ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 2,2023
Sparks fly between a PR rep and an A-list actor who want nothing to do with each other.
Leni Steele might be looking for love, but she’s definitely not looking to be someone’s fake date. Especially not one of the most infuriatingly handsome and annoyingly cocky actors on the planet, Duncan Raz. But when the owner of the PR firm for which she works forces her to walk the red carpet on his arm, she has no choice. Neither wants to be there, much less with each other. They’re like oil and water, and he gets on her last nerve. But after a few tequila shots, that’s not all he gets on. What was supposed to be one date turns into a media frenzy they can’t afford to ignore, and Leni has no other option than to continue the ruse. All the fake kisses furtive glances, and seductive touches eventually start to feel very real. But Raz didn’t earn his A-list-actor status for nothing. Is he just doing what he does best? Playing a role? Or is Leni the leading lady in Raz’s real-life love story?

REVIEW: WILD ISLAND LOVE fifth instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult STEELES AT SILVER ISLAND erotic, romance series-one of many spin offs from the author’s LOVE IN BLOOM series. This is thirty year old, PR rep Leni Steele, and actor Duncan ‘Raz’ Raznick’s story line. WILD ISLAND LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual omniscient third person perspectives (Raz and Leni) WILD ISLAND LOVE follows the fake relationship between PR rep Leni Steele, and actor Duncan ‘Raz’ Raznick. Duncan Raznick’s personal life is in shambles, and the head of his PR firm is hoping to make everything better but a last minute emergency finds PR rep Leni Steele subbing in as Duncan’s date, a date that goes beyond a fake affair. Having to ‘work’ together in the hopes of reinvigorating Duncan’s star appeal, our couple find themselves falling for one another, a fall that is about to destroy our story line couple. Leni keeps reminding Duncan that their time together comes with an expiry date but Duncan is hoping for something more. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Duncan and Leni, and the potential fall-out as Leni struggles to remain professional in the face of falling in love.
The world building continues to focus on the large extended Steele and Silver families: the close-knit relationships and love, their history and backstory, their heart breaks and love.
The relationship between Leni and Duncan begins acrimoniously as Duncan’s reputations precedes his introduction to our story line heroine. Leni believes the lies and paparazzi images focusing on our story line hero, and as such is unable to forget or forgive Duncan for sins of the past. Duncan’s attraction to Leni is immediate but getting past her frosty exterior is going to take some work, work that may help with their own happily ever after. The $ex scenes are provocative, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of coloful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters from the author’s many interconnected stories and series. The camaraderie, friendships and teasing is well worth the price of admission to Foster’s series.
WILD ISLAND LOVE is another story of family, friendships, relationships and love; of secrets and lies, desperation and misunderstanding, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is exciting and lively; the characters are animated and determined; the romance is spirited, sassy and emotional.
