REVIEW:TIN QUEEN is the sixth and final instalment in Devney Perry’s contemporary, adult TIN GYPSY erotic, MC, romance series focusing on the former members of the Tin Gypsy MC. This is Emmett Stone, and attorney Nova Talbot’s story line. TIN QUEEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.
Told from dual first person perspective (Nova and Emmett) TIN QUEEN follows Nova Talbot’s need for revenge. Having lost her younger brother TJ to a bullet, and her father not sitting in jail for three consecutive life sentences, Nova finds herself doing her father’s bidding, an in effort to exact revenge on the people she blames for the loss of the people she loved. On the hunt for the son of the man her father claims took out her brother, Nova heads into the former Tin Gypsy territory, to seduce and kill the man with whom she will fall in love. As the Tin Gypsy’s find themselves constantly on alert for more retaliation, Emmett begins to fall in love with a woman who is about to break his heart. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Emmett and Nova, and the fall-out when the truth is revealed.
Everything about Nova Talbot is a lie: from her name to her background, to her family and her life, Nova is determined to take down what’s left of the Tin Gypsy’s, an MC that is no longer active but most of the surviving and second generation members continue to work and live in Clifton Forge. Her first target is the son of the man she blames for destroying her family but as the truth unfolds, secrets and lies will do more damage than she could have ever imagined. Emmett Stone knows loss including the murder of his father but never expected to lose his heart to a woman who is about to destroy his life. Falling in love was easy but trusting Nova would be the biggest mistake of Emmett’s life.
The relationship between Emmett and Nova is one of immediate attraction although Nova is on a mission to take down our story line hero. Believing everything her father has ever told her, Nova takes aim at Emmett Stone, leaving destruction and heart break in her wake. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
Most of the previous story line couples and characters play secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Emmett’s mother; Nova’s sister Shelby aka May, and their mother January Johnson, as well as the return of Nova’s father Tucker Talbot (Fallen Jester)
TIN QUEEN is a story of family and relationships, secrets and lies, betrayal, retribution and vengeance, acceptance and love. The premise is emotional, heart breaking and revealing; the romance is seductive and spicy; the characters are broken, determined and haunted.
