Description:
With his smooth talk, rugged good looks, and deep pockets, native Texan Boone McBride appears to be a man who has it all. Few people know about the heartbreak behind his decision to leave home, family, and career for the isolation of a small town in the Colorado Rockies. Luckily, time and life in Eternity Springs has worked its healing magic upon his wounded soul, so when he meets obviously troubled Hannah Dupree, Boone sees a chance to pay his good fortune forward. The last thing he anticipates is tumbling into love.

Tragedy has taken everything Hannah loves, and her will to keep going is failing. So when Boone strides into her life determined to save her, it’s easier to go along with him than to resist. Soon she is drawn into the fabric of life in Eternity Springs, and as her spirit begins to heal, her strength returns, and she’s able to go toe-to-toe with this hardheaded, big-hearted Texan. But just when love blooms and happiness is within their grasp, shadows from the past threaten. Hannah and Boone must stand strong and united in order to defeat old ghosts—if they are to create a brand-new life together.

Review:

Boone by Emily March is the 3rd book in her McBrides of Texas trilogy. Boone McBride is our hero in this final book of this trilogy, with his cousins having had their story in the previous two books.  Boone has come a long way from his troubled past, and seems to be content in Eternity Springs, working as a lawyer in a calmer small town atmosphere.  One day, while riding his motorcycle, he sees a woman looking over a cliff, and walks to where she is to break her possible intent; as he talks to her, Boone recognizes the signs of someone deep in depression.

Hannah Dupree, our heroine, has been travelling for 3 years, still coping with the tragic deaths of her two young girls; deciding perhaps to stay in this quiet small town of Eternity Springs for a while.  When she meets a strange handsome man, she becomes concerned that perhaps he is looking to jump off the cliff, which she has no idea he was there for her. Boone befriends Hannah and convinces her to stay at a cabin by his house, which begins a slow process of both of them learning to cope with their own tragic past, and opening up their hearts to finding the light to love and happiness. It was such a delight to watch Boone and Hannah get past the difficult losses and to have a second chance, as they were a great couple.

Boone decides to adopt a baby, since the mother could not handle this, and begged Boone (who helped her from an abusive family member, when he lived in Texas), since she trusted only him.  Boone knew he was falling hard for Hannah, and accepted that she needed more time to move on, as she was still was very emotional. The town of Eternity Springs, Boone’s family, and new friends slowly begin to heal Hannah.  When Boone tells her about the baby, he asked Hannah to help, but at first, she said no, since she wasn’t sure she could take the pain of her daughters’ loss; but when she sees his desperation, she agrees to help. What I loved, that March did so well, was all the women in Eternity Spring set up a schedule that most of the woman would take a turn to be the nanny for their day, which was wonderful. Celeste was a wonderful character, who brought everything together.  Nicely done.

What follows is a sweet heartwarming romance, with Boone doing everything to win over Hannah and help her to heal and open her heart to his love. Boone was a fabulous hero, who was smart, fun, sweet, patient and not to mention sexy.  Hannah was great too, especially with dealing with her tragic loss, and I loved how great Boone was with her.  Their romance was wonderful, and so heartwarming to see them slowly move on with their lives.  I also loved the little puppy, Ranger, who brought adorable chaos into their lives.

Boone was a fun, entertaining, emotional, heartwarming, and at times sad. Despite the heartbreak for both of them, it was heartwarming to see them heal.  Though this is the 18th book in Emily March’s Eternity Springs series, this trilogy concludes with Boone. Emily March once again gives us a sweet story, which I suggest you read

Once Upon a Mail Order Bride by Linda Broday – a Review

Once Upon a Mail Order Bride by Linda Broday – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
When the West was wild and man’s law favored the few, these extraordinary women could be found…in the heart of an outlaw.

Accused of crimes he didn’t commit, ex-preacher Ridge Steele is forced to give up everything he knew and make his home with outlaws. Desperate for someone to confide in, he strikes up correspondence with mail-order bride Adeline Jancy, finding in her the open heart he’s been searching for. Upon her arrival, Ridge discovers Addie only communicates through the written word, but he knows a little of what trauma can do to a person and vows to stand by her side.

Addie is eager to start a new life with the kind ex-preacher and the little boy she’s stolen away from her father–a zealot priest of a terrorized flock. As her small family settles into life at Hope’s Crossing, she even begins to find the voice, and confidence, she’d lost so long ago.

But danger is not far behind, and her father will not be denied. While Addie desperately fights the man who destroyed her childhood, a determined Ridge races to the rescue. The star-crossed lovers will need more than prayers to survive this final challenge…and find their way back to each other again.

Review:

Once Upon a Mail Order Bride by Linda Broday is the 4th and final book in her wonderful Outlaw Mail Order Brides series. I love this series, as Broday never fails to make us fall in love the couples in this western historical romance.   Refresher: The story takes place in Hope’s Crossing, which is a town run by outlaws, who have started a clean slate on their lives, with building a family and changing their lives for the better.

Ridge Steele, is an ex preacher, and because of the crime he did not commit, is one of the original outlaws who has built Hope Crossings. Ridge has been writing letters to a mail order bride, and is waiting impatiently for her arrival to marry him.

Adeline (Addie) Jancy, has recently gotten out of a three-year prison term, and with the help of Luke and his wife, they manage get her away from men who are determined to kidnap her and bring her back to her evil father; who was the one who had her imprisoned.  Addie was in solitary confinement all those years, and she cannot speak due to the trauma; only using the written word to express herself.

When she meets Ridge, she finds him kind and patient, helping her take her time to learn how to speak again.  They immediately get married, and start their life together. Addie despite her inability to talk, wins over all the townsfolks, especially with her cooking.  In a short time, she learns more about the hardship Ridge has gone through and begins to fall hard for him, as he does with her.

They both have major issues; Ridge always on the lookout for those looking for him, even if he is innocent; and Addie running from her fanatical deranged father, who plans to kill her.  Both Addie and Ridge were great together, both strong, protective and loyal, and it was such a pleasure to watch them become closer.  When Ridge is in danger, with someone ready to attack him, Addie yells out a warning, bringing back her voice.

What follows is an exciting story line, with nonstop action, heart stopping dangerous situations and a sweet romance between two people with flawed pasts that will catch up with them.  Things do get desperate when Addie’s nightmare comes true, and Ridge do anything to find her and fight to save her, also bringing forth her mother, who was also under the father’s evil control.

Ridge and Addie were so good together, and you couldn’t help loving them, as they were the best couple yet. I loved how they had young Bodie stay with them, and he being loyal to them.  It was great to see all the main characters from the previous books. Since this is the final book, I must say Broday did such a great job bringing us this outlaw town, with fantastic couples and secondary characters, as well as giving us beautiful heartwarming romances, with some dangerous elements.

Linda Broday once again gives us another wonderful addition to this fabulous western historical series.  Once Upon a Mail Order Bride was a perfect conclusion to this series.  If you enjoy western historical romances, I suggest you read this series, and Linda Broday’s writing is superb.

Wildflower Road by Janine Rosche – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
After her husband’s tragic death, Ryann Marie Ashcroft’s only remaining dream is to save her family’s struggling mountain resort. And the last person she wants to rely on is a brooding stranger with secrets of his own.

Nicknamed America’s rock-and-roll pastor, Shane Olson arrives in Montana after a viral video destroys his marriage, his ministry, and his reputation. Working side by side on the banks of the Madison River, he and Ryann get a second chance at love. But not everyone wants to see their happily ever after.

Review:

Wildflower Road by Janine Rosche is the 2nd book in her Madison River Romance series. Ryann Ashcroft, our heroine, helps run the family’s resort, and despite its financial struggle, she is determined to save it.  She hires a new cook, and hopes this will bring back customers.

Shane Olson, our hero and a former pastor, moves to Yellowstone, Montana, to become the cook, escaping his past, which included a jail term.  Shane plans to work hard, and keep his distance, but when he meets the fun bubbly Ryann, he finds it hard not to like her.  In a short time, Ryann will convince Shane to meet her wonderful friends and become part of the town.  Shane will also meet Stuart, who is Ryann’s brother in law, and someone who wants Ryann for himself (her husband and his brother committed suicide years before).  Stuart comes from a wealthy family, and uses his family power across the town to make sure Ryann doesn’t look at any other man; he wants her for himself at any cost.  Ryann still has nightmares on the tragic death of her husband, and feels responsible mainly because of Stuart’s attempts to kiss her.  Because of the constant threats to her family and friends, Ryann tries to be nice to Stuart, who is always drunk, acting only as a friend.

In a short time, Shane and Ryann become friends, enjoying each other’s company and their friends. They begin to confide about each of their past; Ryann about her husband’s suicide and Shane about his jail term, and being removed as a pastor. Shane realizes that he is falling in love with Ryann, and each time Stuart pushes himself around her, Shane is ready to come to Ryann’s rescue.   Even though she too is falling for Shane, she knows that Stuart will cause havoc, and with the threats of her family losing their resort, she has no choice but agree to accept Stuart’s proposals.

What follows is Ryann’s friends and family, as well as Shane will step up to try and help her.  Will Ryann be forced to marry Stuart?  Will Shane find redemption?  I did enjoy Shane and Ryann as a couple.  I loved the many wonderful friendships and families that were part of the town.

Wildflower Road was a wonderful heartwarming story line that pulled on many different emotions; love, tragedy, manipulation, friendships/family, financial straits, suicide, and happiness. Wildflower Road was well written by Janine Rosche.  I suggest you read this book.

Breathe the Sky by Michelle Hazen – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Mari Tucker is a wildlife biologist who scoops bunnies and endangered tortoises out of harm’s way on construction sites. Still haunted by her past, she takes the most remote jobs in the Mojave Desert to avoid people and hide from her ex. It’s a simple, quiet life filled with sweet animals and solar-powered baking until she ends up assigned to Jack Wyatt’s crew.

Construction foreman Jack Wyatt’s loud, foul-mouthed temper keeps even the most rugged of men on his crew in line. No mistake is overlooked, because out in the desert it could mean life or death. In his opinion, the job site is no place for sensitive biologists, especially one as shy as Mari. But instead of wilting from the heat and hard work, Mari wins over Jack and his crew one homemade brownie at a time.

Jack and Mari find a comfortable rhythm, building a friendship that’s rare for both of them. After Jack’s rocky childhood, they have more in common than they’d imagined. But even the Mojave sun can’t chase away the shadows when the past is determined to track them down…

Review:

Breathe the Sky by Michelle Hazen is a standalone romance novel.   We meet our heroine, Mari Tucker, at the start, as she is assigned to her next remote job.  Mari is a wildlife biologist, who enforces the rules on desert construction sites, to protect animals, such as tortoises, bunnies, etc.  Since other members of the bio team can’t stand the foreman of one of the sites, it is her turn to stay the week at Jack Wyatt’s construction site.  Mari feels she can handle it, as she knows about foul-mouthed men, especially her abusive ex.

Jack has a short and nasty temper when dealing with his crew, since he needs perfection, as his boss is always complaining and threatening his job.  He is equally temperamental to Mari, as she is always finding things he needs to avoid, especially the endangered animals.  This does cause delays which makes him even angrier.  Mari is good at her job, and manages to handle Jack and his crew.  In a short time, Jack and Mari will develop a friendship, which show they have more in common than either of them thought.  In the same motel, they meet to watch shows like HGTV, and at times Mari loves to cook for Jack.  Though they are an unlikely pair, each begins to see each other in another light and a slow build romance will start; and even on the site, Jack begins to understand what Mari sees with the animals and accepts the necessary changes.

They both have their own issues, and it was wonderful to watch them rise above them.  Mari was a wonderful heroine, who was also strong; especially trying get past her fears of her ex finding her, as well as learning to stand up for herself.  She was so instrumental on getting past Jack’s grumpy attitude, and bringing out a great guy, who finds love. Very well done.

Breathe the Sky was a sweet slow built compassionate romance, that was sensual, and also covered other issues, such as threats from a terrible boss or abusive ex-husband; family childhood, etc.  It is a thought-provoking story, and a couple we found ourselves rooting hard for.  Breathe the Sky was very well written by Michelle Hazen.

Rough Creek by Kaki Warner – a Review

Description:
After serving eighteen months in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Dalton Cardwell is looking for a fresh start. What better place than Whitcomb Four Star Ranch? He doesn’t regret the decisions of his past–he’d choose the same roads again. But now all Dalton wants is to keep his head down and focus on the horses–and on Raney Whitcomb.

Raney is outraged when she learns her mother hired an ex-con. Raney has worked hard for the ranch, sacrificing her personal life for the dream of building on her family’s legacy. But as Dalton breaks down every misconception and even wins the good opinion of her sisters, Raney is forced to rethink her stance–and finally free herself to explore the heart-pounding tension that simmers between them.

Review:

Rough Creek by Kaki Warner is the first book in her new Brides of Rough Creek Texas series. We meet our hero, Dalton Cardwell, as he is released from prison, after spending a year and half for a crime he did not commit.  When he returns home to Rough Creek, he learns that his parents have sold their house and plan to move with their younger physically challenged son, Timothy.  Dalton begins to look for work, and decides to check out the Whitcomb Four Star Ranch, which he has experience handling breeding horses.

The family matriarch, Coralee Whitcomb, has 4 daughters, with Raney being the one who runs the ranch. The other three girls have moved away, though Joss will play a big role when she returns being pregnant and Len, who is married, decides to visit.  But the heroine in this story is Raney, who is smart, tough, independent and fully loyal to the ranch. Cora decides she wants to take a break and go on a long vacation, and when she meets and interviews Dalton, she hires him on the spot.  This angers Raney, who is unhappy that her mother was hiring someone behind her back, and one that is an ex con; but Cora is determined to give Dalton a chance, as she sees how good he is with the horses, not to mention he might be someone to stand up to Raney.

Raney finally decides to give Dalton a chance, as she too can tell how good he is.  Raney does find him attractive, but she has had a bad experience previously and does not want to become involved with anyone. The romance between Raney and Dalton is slow built, as she fights off all of Dalton sweet disarming advances; and it was fun to watch him express his feelings to her, and her inability to ignore him.  Took a while, but it was fun, though I have to say she was stubborn.

What follows is a fun and interesting story, as Raney with Dalton build up Roscoe, their prize horse for future competitions that will enable them to put Whitcomb Four Star Ranch as being one of the best.  During the training sessions, we get to see Raney’s sisters who visit, with Joss having issues with her boyfriend, and who is the father of her baby.  The other sister will also return, with her own issues, though we do not get to meet the 4th sister. It was nice to see the family together, and help each other. I got a kick out of Joss, Len and even Cora doing their best to push Raney towards Dalton.

Rough Creek was a wonderful start to this series, which I look forward to learning more about the rest of the family. I did adore Dalton and Raney together, but at times early on I wanted to smack her, as Dalton was such a great guy, not to mention hot.  Warner created wonderful characters, as I loved them all. If you want a pure romance, great couple, wonderful characters and a background storyline of horses, training and competition, then you should be reading this book.  Rough Creek was very well written by Kaki Warner.

The Best Man Plan by Jaci Burton – a Review

The Best Man Plan by Jaci Burton – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Three days before Erin Bellini’s wedding, her fiancé breaks up with her–in an email! Hurt and embarrassed, she decides to have a fling with veterinarian Jason Callum, who’s both the best man and the hottest guy she knows. But Jason wants a lot more than just a one-night stand with the woman he’s cared about for years. So he’s taking things slow. And hot. And showing Erin what real love can look like.

Suddenly Erin finds herself spending a lot more time with Jason than she intended. Feelings she never planned on having again are wrapping around her heart, refusing to let go. Erin isn’t sure she can trust her instincts, though. After all, she made a terrible choice with her ex-fiancé. But Jason intends to convince her that he’s the best man for her, and that what they have together is a real love that will last forever.

Review:

The Best Man Plan by Jaci Burton is the first book in her new Boots and Bouquets series.  Erin Bellini, our heroine, is devastated when her fiancé breaks up with her three days before the wedding.   Erin’s family runs a vineyard, and they also handle weddings, as the girls (sisters) are wedding planners. Erin is determined to still have a party, since their venue is now available, and she puts on a strong face.  Erin decides she wants revenge sex, and looks at her best friend, Jason.

Jason Callum, our hero, has always loved Erin, but was willing to step aside to allow his friend Owen to woo and win Erin’s heart.  Now with him gone with the wind, no one can understand why Owen left Erin holding the bag without talking to her, having sent an email. Jason has always been there for Erin, and now with her falling all over him, he doesn’t know how to handle her advances, assuming she is acting on the rebound.

Erin has an amazing family, great group of friends, including Jason, and they all are there to help support her.  I also loved both Jason and Erin’s puppies, who were so cute.  This is a friend to lovers’ story, and Erin has no idea that Jason has always loved her.  She is determined to have friends with benefits with Jason, as she finds him very sexy; but of course, no plans to become a relationship.  Jason himself is trying his best to avoid Erin’s advances, as he feels she is acting irrationally.  Best laid plans.  Lol

I will say that Erin and Jason were fantastic together, as they made a super couple, with sizzling chemistry.  Erin begins to realize that what she had with Owen wasn’t love, and Jason is the man for her.  Will she step out of denial and own up to her growing feelings for Jason?

The Best Man Plan was a fun, sweet, enjoyable story.  Besides Jason and Erin, I loved all the other wonderful characters, whom I expect to find more stories in the future books of this series.  I also loved the vineyard and wedding planning background.  Once again Jaci Burton gives us another wonderful romance, and a series I will need to keep reading.  I wholly recommend that you read this book.

Stages of the Heart by Jo Goodman – a Review

Stages of the Heart by Jo Goodman – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple/ BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Experience has taught Laurel to be suspicious of the men who pass through Morrison Station. She’s been running the lucrative operation that connects Colorado’s small frontier town of Falls Hollow with the stagecoach line since she inherited it from her father, and she’s not about to let some wandering cowboy take over the reins. But newcomer McCall Landry isn’t just any gunslinger. He seems to genuinely care for Laurel, and with his rugged good looks and mysterious past, he could be the one man to finally tempt her off track…

Call Landry doesn’t expect much from Falls Hollow. He doesn’t expect much from anything anymore. But Laurel Morrison took him by surprise when she put in a good word for him, a virtual stranger, after the stagecoach was robbed–and she keeps taking him by surprise. Charmed by her clever wit and fierce loyalty, Call finds himself falling hard. Now all he has to do is convince her he means to stay–in her bed, in her life, and in her heart.

Review:

Stages of the Heart by Jo Goodman is a western standalone novel that takes place in the Colorado frontier.  This is a western historical romance that I really enjoyed, especially with the couple being so likable, as well as Goodman always writes wonderful stories.

We meet our heroine, Laurel Morrison, who runs a stagecoach line (Morrison Station) that connects through Falls Hollow.  Laurel inherited this from her father, and both of her brothers were killed, leaving her alone to run the station.  She has a very good group of people who help her, and she is determined to make sure she wins the contract for the future railroad tracks coming their way.

Call Landry, our hero, makes an overnight stop at the station, when a robbery is discovered, he agrees to help the driver to the next stop..  Call accepts a job from the head of the stagecoach to go back to Falls Hollow and investigate who stole the money.  Call is happy to go back, as he couldn’t help but be very attracted to Laurel.  In a short time, they will begin to work together to try and discover who was behind the robbery; along the way, they will both succumb to the fantastic chemistry between them.  I loved Call and Laurel together, and got a kick out of the bantering between them.  Will Call stay in Falls Hollow and Laurel?  Will Laurel allow herself to trust her feelings for Call, and his feelings for her?

What follows is a sweet romance between Call, who had quickly fallen hard for Laurel, with him having to convince her that he was serious about his feelings for her and that he wanted to stay.  Will Lauren believe him?  They were so great together, as the romance was fun, humorous and their chemistry was sensual.    The mystery of finding the robber, escalates after finding the body of the suspected robber.  There were a number of suspects, which created the danger and tension.   To say too much more would be spoilers, but I loved this wonderful couple, as well as some great secondary characters.  Jo Goodman did an excellent job in creating a wonderful couple in Call and Laurel, and a story which had a lot of humorous banter, tragedy and an enjoyable romance.  If you enjoy romance, a western and historical background, with a fun sexy couple, then you should read Stages of the Heart.

Laurel drew her braid forward over her shoulder and fingered it. Up and down. Up and down. Working up to asking the question that had been uppermost in her mind. He seemed to know it, too, because he let her sit there in silence and didn’t feel a need to fill it. “Why are you doing this?” she finally asked. “Why did you accept the job?”
“There are a few different answers to that, all of them true, some of them truer than others. Are you sure you want to know?”
“I asked,” she said. “Yes, I want to know. I want to know the truest answer.”
“All right, but don’t make me sorry I told you. Don’t suddenly get up like you forgot something you have to do and disappear on me.”
“I don’t run.”
“Mm. Let’s see. Here it is: I took Mr. Stonechurch up on his offer because it was an opportunity to see you again.” Call waited to see if she would say something. She didn’t. She didn’t move either. She was so still that she might have been stone. “Are you breathing? Doesn’t seem as if you’re breathing.”
“Yes, I’m breathing.” In fact, her breath had caught for a moment and the next breath she captured was shallow. There was no reason to tell him that. “You must think a lot of yourself if you believe I’d be so flattered that I’d cease to breathe.”
Call shrugged. “I’ve seen it happen.”
“You’re either a liar or a braggart. Neither quality recommends your character.”
He chuckled low in his throat. “True. What about your heart? Did it skip a beat?”
Laurel smirked. “Uh-huh. Tripped right over itself.”
“You’re mocking me, aren’t you? I hear mocking.”
“I’m smirking, too.”
“Can’t see that. Not sure smirking is an attractive expression for you.”
“That’s unfortunate. I do it a lot.”
“Doesn’t put me off, though. I’m still glad I took the job.”
“That’s ridiculous, you know.”
“So you say. I’m satisfied.”
Laurel simply shook her head. “What are the other slightly less true reasons you took the job?”
“So we’re moving on, are we?”
“Yes.” She was firm on that.
“Well, you know I was looking for a job with Stonechurch Mining when this came along. I needed money, and I figured a job was a better way of getting it than thievery. Maybe I can rise a little in your estimation by telling you that stealing never occurred to me.” He waited to see if she would comment. She didn’t so he went on. “I didn’t have enough capital to buy into a poker game. Didn’t want to start riding shotgun again if I could avoid it. And I figured my prospects were limited for what the army trained me to do.”
Laurel peered through the darkness, trying to make out his features and gauge the truth of what he was telling her. “And what was that?”
“Kill.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah,” he said flatly. “You probably don’t want to know if I was any good at it.”
“No, Mr. Landry, I don’t. Your presence is testament enough to your talent for it.”
“Call,” he said.
“What?”
“My name. You keep calling me Mr. Landry, I’m going to stop answering to it.”
“I’ll think about it. Maybe I won’t say your name at all.”
“That’d be better than the other.”
“I’m not sure I understand your objection.”
He shrugged. “Isn’t it enough that I have one?”
Laurel considered that. “All right,” she said at last.
“Thank you.”

Nick knows the ranch’s pretty, smart, and capable office manager is off-limits, but he needs her. And working in such close proximity to Charlotte every day is making Nick crazy. She smells good, she looks good, she makes him laugh, but most of all she makes him want to stay….

Review:

The Billionaire in Boots by Julia London is the 3rd book in her Princes of Texas series.  We already met Nick, our hero and the Prince family heir apparent; and Charlotte Bailey, our heroine, who is also the Princes office manager.

Nick, was forced to take over the cattle ranching, after the death of his father; he is not a happy camper, as he hates ranching and prefers to be a pilot, his first love.  Charlotte, has had a crush on Nick for many years, but knows he is not interested in relationships, or his job.  Though Nick can be grumpy a lot, her wonderful disposition, and her help in the office allows them to be friends.  Their constant text messages to each other (even when they are in the same office) is cute and border on hysterical at times.   I loved Charlotte, as she was such a sweet fun-loving character.

Nick enjoyed his friendship with Charlotte, but it took a bit to win me over, though more than half way through the book, he was great.   It was fun to watch their friendship build, especially as Charlotte was looking for a someone perfect for her, that would want a family, dogs and babies.  None of which Nick was suited for, but he did try to pick some guys for her.

Nick will soon begin to realize how much he enjoys Charlotte’s company, and finds himself falling hard for her, not to mention her feelings for him.  This slow build romance was wonderful, as the chemistry between them was sexy and hot, and we rooted hard for them to stay together.   But Nick’s desire to leave and become a pilot, as well as his fears of getting married and having babies threatened any future for them.

What follows was a sweet, heartwarming, fun romance between two people destined to live other lives.    Nick and Charlotte were a great couple, which we didn’t see any chance for them to find a way to stay together, but fate always wins.  I loved reading this sweet romance, in a small western town, with many wonderful characters from both the Prince and Bailey families.  I adored Rufus, Charlotte’s older dog, who was a riot.

The Billionaire in Boots was a wonderful, fun, enjoyable story that had us smiling so many times throughout the book.  It was a fantastic fun heartwarming read.  Julia London once again gives us a wonderful story, with a great couple and likeable characters, which always makes the stories more enjoyable.   I suggest you read this wonderful small town romance written so well by Julia London.
