Even though Bonni’s trip has an end date and there is another tournament calling Quinn’s name, their strong connection surprises them both. And by the end of the weekend they start to wonder if what happens in Vegas doesn’t have to stay there…

Review:

What Happens in Vegas begins with a group of girls, who have been friends since college, heading to Vegas for a girls’ weekend.  Life has taken then in different directions, each facing their own issues, but they’ve remained close.  When they all arrive, they have drinks and proceed to have a good time.  Sometime later, Bonni, hits a jackpot in the casino and their reunion gets pushed into overdrive.  They are moved into a huge suite and given VIP passes to a hot nightclub.  After shopping and getting dolled up, the girls head out for the night of their lives………

Once they arrive at the club and hit the dance floor, it doesn’t take professional gambler, Quinn Bryant, long to notice Bonni.  As he approaches her, Bonni has never felt more out of place.  She’s also never felt so attracted to someone so quickly.  And, what do you know?  Neither has Quinn.  They decide that a one-night fling is just what’s needed.  If they only knew…………

What Happens in Vegas is a fun story and the first I’ve read by Shana Gray.  Bonni and Quinn were both well written.   Bonni is a great friend, a great daughter and the best friend anyone could want.  When she won the jackpot, she didn’t hesitate to treat all of her girlfriends so that they could all have even more fun.  Quinn was just awesome.  I liked how he ended up being more the pursuer than she was.  He knew what he wanted and went after it.  The turmoil Bonni felt upon learning his ‘profession’ was believable and his willingness to do anything to make her his made this story one that kept me turning the pages.  The secondary characters were fun and well written, and I can’t wait to read more about them.  If you’re a romance fan, you won’t go wrong with this quick, funny and sexy read.  Well done, Shana Gray!

The Seduction of Kinley Foster by Lisa Wells – a Review

The Seduction of Kinley Foster by Lisa Wells – a Review

The Seduction of Kinley FosterAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM / The Book Depository

Description:
Librarian Kinley Foster wants to write erotic romance—the steamy, sexy, curl-your-toes kind of stuff. The problem? She desperately needs a little erotic inspiration. And at a romance convention in Vegas, she finds it…or rather him. The sizzlingly sexy guy who refused Kinley—and her virginity—when she was sixteen.

Now it’s time for a little payback.

Literary agent Ian Thompson is a professional. Mentoring an aspiring author is one thing. Giving her a thorough and thoroughly satisfying sexy education is quite another. Especially when she’s as stunning and deliciously curvaceous as Kinley. Yet Ian can’t help himself when Kinley makes him a wager he can’t resist. A wager that will tempt Ian to cross every professional—and every sensual—boundary in the book…

Review:

Kinley Foster is determined to become a published author or erotic romance.  Even though she’s written her manuscript, she’s been told it’s missing something.  She decides to hit up a Romance Convention in Las Vegas to shop her story and to, hopefully, get some inspiration.  Once she lands in Vegas and sees none other than Ian Thompson, her brother’s best friend and the one she yearned for as a teenager, standing there.  Waiting for her!  Seems her brother had let Ian know that Kinley would be in Vegas and wanted him to keep an eye on her.  Oh yeah, and she had no idea that he was a very successful agent……….

Even though she’s still mad at him for rebuffing her advances when she was a teenager, she’s even angrier at him because she caught him on that fateful day with none other than her brother’s fiancé……… Or so it seemed.  Funny thing about timing.  As they say, it’s everything.

The Seduction of Kinley Foster is a well written story that is as fun as it is sweet…and a little hot!  Even though Kinley, at times, acted like she was still that 16 year old (instead of 26) who had her heart ripped out, she was fun to read about.  She’s torn between needing to still be mad at Ian and still being head over heals for the guy whom she thinks took her brother’s fiancé.  She still can’t believe that her brother forgave Ian, but, as I said, timing is everything.  Ian is a great character as well.  I loved the way he and Kinley played off of each other.  And, if I’m being honest, I loved the way they almost tormented each other.  After all, she came to Vegas to get some tips on writing romance and he was all too willing to help.

This is the first book I’ve read by Lisa Wells, and even though it’s #15 in a series, there is no problem in reading this as a stand along.  I had no idea it was a series until I went in search of the blurb about the book for this review.  If you’re looking for a quick and fun read with a couple of great characters, you cannot go wrong with this one.  Well done, Lisa Wells!

Accidentally in Love with the Biker by Teri Anne Stanley – a Review

Accidentally in Love with the Biker by Teri Anne Stanley – a Review

Accidentally in Love with the Biker

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo

Description:
Aspiring writer Kelli Dalton needs a man, and fast. When she’s rear-ended by a sexy-as-sin biker on the way to a Vegas romance readers convention, she sees her chance. If he’ll pose as her fake boyfriend long enough to impress a bestselling author, Kelli has a shot at saving the bookstore for underprivileged kids she runs back home.

Quinn Anderson doesn’t know what to make of the cute little writer who stirs his heart and his libido, but he does know he wants to get better acquainted. And if that means keeping up their sexy ruse all week, he’s game.

Quinn knows a girl like Kelli deserves someone with a secure future to help with her store, not a guy struggling to turn a profit on his chopper shop. But if his motorcycle designs win the big Vegas competition, he’ll have enough prize money to fund his dreams…and hers.

Review:

I loved Accidentally in Love with the Biker by Teri Anne Stanley. I’ve never had the privilege to read anything by Ms. Stanley before, but this definitely won’t be the last. If her stories and characters are anything like this book, then it’s safe to say I’ll be looking for more from this author. Ms. Stanley writes a fun, sassy, and charming romance for our hero and heroine Kelli and Quinn.

I knew from their first meeting I was going to be a fan of this couple. Kelli and Quinn are two characters that are fun, refreshing, easy going, quirky and can just go with the flow. Plus, they understand each other and seem to be in similar situations in life and jobs. From their first scene together an easy bond and fast friendship forms and the story along with their Vegas adventure just takes off. I absolutely loved their first scene together, Kelli is in her rental car daydreaming about her book’s hero Zeus, a motorcycle riding badass Greek God, when Quinn goes flying over her rental car after rear-ending her. Once she’s assured he’s not dead and nothings broken, she proceeds to introduce her self, but when Quinn removes his motorcycle helmet, the fun begins;

“I’m Kelli Dalton.” He pulled the helmet off with one hand, using the other to brush the strands away from his face, hoping to catch a little desert breeze in the process. “I’m-“ “You’re Zeus.” Kelli-the-high-heeled-driving-menace sighed, staring up at him, those damned eyes filled with wonder. Zeus? “Quinn, Quinn Anderson. But you can call me Zeus if you want.”

LoL, was my response to that scene because I could picture myself having that kind of reaction to a hot guy that I’d just been daydreaming about. J As for the rest of their adventure, it’s a fun, fast read that’s filled with many LoL moments(Quinn dressed as a lion tamer in gold shiny tights with matching vest and gold whip, Kelli dressed in a skintight black cat suit, still chuckling over that scene) that charm the reader and keep them reading to find out if they will be able to move past their fears and admit their feelings for one another, and try for that HEA that both deserve, not only in love, but life and their jobs.

As I said at the beginning of my review I loved Accidentally in Love with the Biker. It was a fast, fun, flirty read, just perfect for a lazy evening, or Sunday afternoon read.   I mean, come on, who wouldn’t want a hot biker guy who’s willing to spend a week at a romance writers book convention pretending to be a fictional boyfriend/book hero? Hands up if you want a guy like that!!

Until next time happy reading and remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!!   LOL!!
