But when Tony finally revealed that he was in a long-term relationship with Angela (a child-hood friend), Samantha knew that friendship with this man would be one of the hardest things to accept.

As the story continues, Samantha and Tony’s love grows deeper. Their chemistry is instant and explosive, but knowing that Tony was committed to another woman, Samantha refused to take their relationship to the next level. It was only when Tony suggested he would end his 5 year relationship with Angela, did Samantha allow herself the hope that a future with Tony was a possibility. But Angela’s reaction to the break-up was not what Tony had expected, and his guilt forced him to reconsider in which direction he was going.

Stephanie introduces Samantha’s college roommates and friends. Gabe as the stand-in boyfriend and male protector, and Faby as the ever-supportive BFF; Tony’s best friend and wingman Damion talks to Tony’s sub-conscious, knowing that he too was falling for the woman that Tony claimed to be his soul-mate. But co-dependency is difficult when guilt and betrayal are weapons of choice. And it is Tony’s decision that will force Damion to be the unwanted messenger leaving Samantha with a broken heart and secret she refuses to reveal.

WHEN LOVES ISN’T ENOUGH is a poignant story of heartbreak and betrayal. Thinking you have found your soul-mate, but knowing he is tied to another, can be difficult when lovers first meet. Finding that he was never tied to the other by his heart but by  guilt and shame , will force you to look down upon the Happily Ever After of fairy-tales. When all is said and done-love is a two way street, betrayal is one of the most difficult things to overcome, and finding love a second-time around, may be pushed aside for a memory that may have been false from the start. I have no problem recommending this story.
