Amazon / B&N / Kobo

Description:
Emma Duarte just volunteered to be the ultimate badass. She agreed to try out for an elite eGaming team to draw out the criminal mastermind behind the dangerous, illegal underworld of video gaming. The problem? She doesn’t know jack about the game she has to pose as an expert of. Second problem? Michael Harrison, her new brother-in-law and ill-advised one-night stand the night Emma’s sister married Michael’s brother, has been hired to train her.

Michael Harrison loves seeing straitlaced Emma off-kilter. Sure, she rebuffs him every chance she gets, but that just makes it more challenging—and fun. But at the end of the day, the goal is to get her on the Dynasty eGaming team and catch a criminal. Michael already lost his brother to this underworld, and he won’t lose Emma too.

Review:

Ask Me to Game by Zoe Forward is the 3rd book in her Game Lords series. I have read the first two books in this series, and enjoyed them both.  Ask Me to Game was another wonderful addition to this series, which could be the best one yet.

We get to see all the recurring characters from the first two books, as the story continues to revolve around finding the mysterious Symphis, the evil leader of the Gamelords, who has threatened all of our heroines, if they don’t give him what he wants.  In Ask Me to Game, Emma (Tori’s sister) is our heroine, as well as assistant to Jake and Noah; she is very organized and good at her job. Because the team, working with the FBI, is at its wits end, unable to find out who is Symphis; they decide to enlist Emma to go undercover; she is willing, though unlike Tori and Becca, she is not a gamer.

Michael Harrison, our hero and Noah’s brother, steps up to teach Emma what she needs to do in game tournament, in order to get into the Dynasty e-gaming team and Symphis.  Michael, lost his younger brother because of Symphis, and is determined to make sure Emma is safe.  Michael and Emma find it hard to ignore their attraction to each other, as the chemistry between them is hot; but both try not to succumb to their feelings while they are on the hunt.

What follows is an exciting, suspenseful and fun story. Once again, I am amazed how well Zoe Forward continues to describe the gaming industry, giving us a wonderful insight to that industry.   I loved Michael and Emma together, though due to the circumstances was a slow build romance. It was great to see many of the wonderful recurring characters from the previous books, especially Noah, Jake, Tori, Becca, Quan, Sam, just to name a few.

The second half of the book upped the tension, with the excitement escalated as Emma found herself threatened by Symphis, but it was a great ending as she and Michael managed to discover the truth.  To tell too much more would be spoilers, and you should read all three books this to enjoy the story.

Ask Me to Game was a fast-paced, fun enjoyable story; wonderful couple, great secondary characters, as well as filled with excitement and suspense

Review:

Don’t Game Me by Zoe Forward is the 2nd book in her Game Lords series.   Having read the first book, I looked forward to reading this one, and I am happy to say that once again I enjoyed this 2nd book of the series.

Becca Harrison is our heroine, and sister to Noah Harrison (last book hero).  Becca is in trouble, as she is deeply involved with the same illegal eGaming group that threatened Tori (her friend, Noah’s fiancee, and 1st book  heroine). Though Tori is now free, Becca is being forced to steal financial information from her brother’s company, and she is desperate to save her family, even at the cost of running away forever.  But Becca needs to keep one step ahead of the mysterious and evil Symphis, who is the leader of the gamelords, and threatens her life.

Jake Allen is our hero, and Noah’s partner in their own gaming company.   Jake has a reputation of being a womanizer, though he never stays more than a couple of times with the same woman.  When Becca and Jake run into each other, as best man & maid of honor, for Tori and Noah’s wedding, she tries to convince Jake to be her date.  At first, he doesn’t want to be too much near her, as he has always found her attractive, but eventually they will be pushed together for the event.  He doesn’t know that Becca, has another ulterior motive, to copy from Jake’s computer, financial information that Symphis wants.

In a short time, both Jake and Becca find their attraction to each other impossible to ignore, and the chemistry between them is scorching hot.  Jake knows he wants Becca, but is afraid to ruin the relationship he has with the entire Harrison family, and he doesn’t trust he is the right person for her.   Becca finds herself falling hard for Jake, but knows there could be no future, as she plans to protect them (give false information), and go on the run from Symphis.

What follows is an exciting, suspenseful and fun story. I am amazed how well Zoe Forward continues to describe the gaming industry, giving us a wonderful insight to that industry.   I especially loved Jake and Becca together. It was great to see many of the characters from the first book again, especially Noah, Michael, Tori, Emma, Quan, just to name a few.  The second half of the book upped the tension, with the excitement escalated as Becca was in the middle of the desperate action, with Jake and Noah, plus others did everything they could to find her and help her from a dangerous adversary.

Don’t Game Me was a fast-paced, fun enjoyable story; wonderful couple, great secondary characters, as well as filled with excitement and suspense.  If you have not started this series, I suggest you read Off Her Game before you read Don’t Game Me.

One Night With a Witch by Zoe Forward – Review

One Night With a Witch by Zoe Forward – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / iTunes

Description:
The last thing MI6 agent Eli Morgan expected was Pleiades witch Avery Donovan showing up to “rescue” him. Turns out she’s his biggest threat when an unexpected love spell hits them. Now he can’t keep his hands off the woman he vowed never to touch.
But something evil fights to posses Eli’s soul. The only one who can truly save him is his soulmate. Can’t be Avery. What they feel is spell-induced. Or is it?

Review:

One Night with a Witch by Zoe Forward is the 5th book in her Keepers of the Veil series. This series revolves around the seven Plelades witches, their destined mates who protect them and the enemies out to kill them.  With that being said, One Night with a Witch reads very well as a standalone, though I do recommend that you read the earlier books to get to know the previous characters and enjoy the stories.

Eli Morgan, our hero, is an agent and guardian, who will protect the Plelades.  Eli has always had a thing for our heroine, Avery Donavan, and one of the Pledades witches; but he knows she is not destined for him, despite his feelings.

Avery is sent by her other witches to check on Eli, who is on a mission, because of a vision.  Her and Eli fight off their attraction, but a love spell forces them to succumb to their true feelings.  Eli pulls away afterwards, knowing no matter what, he cannot continue with Avery, as she is off limits.  But true love will never let go.  However, Eli on assignment finds himself in a horror situation, as he is infected by a necromancer, who takes over his body and mind. No matter how hard he tries, he cannot get rid of the ghost controlling him, and their mission is to kill Merck (our last book hero) and Shannon (a Pledades witch and last book heroine).

What follows is an exciting adventure, where Avery, Merck, Eli’s brother, and some of the Plelades witches try to find a way to save Eli.  Avery will work hard with Merck to try and alter the spell.  I did love Avery, as she was a strong, independent witch, but also knowing that she loved Eli; as they really were great together.  Will Merck and Avery be able to save Eli?   If so, will Avery be able to convince Eli that their love for each other was destined.

I do not want to give spoilers, as saying too much more could ruin it for you.  One Night with the Witch is a very exciting adventure that will hold you on the edge of your seat.  Zoe Forward once again does a great job continuing the flow of this series of the witches. This is a fun exciting series, which I wholly recommend.

Description:
Tori Duarte’s big dreams to be a video game designer…well, they haven’t panned out. And a girl’s got to eat. Enter: the Stadium, a secretive video game gambling ring. As a world ranked eGamer, winning should be cake. Until it’s not. Gambling debts suck her in deep.

A chance encounter with the media shy, ridiculously handsome video game CEO Noah Harrison offers her a way out. The deal: 1) Assist the FBI to catch the underworld eGaming kingpin (doable but dangerous). 2) Keep the FBI connection secret by pretending to date Noah (not optional but keeping it PG is problematic).

What neither expects is an explosive chemistry that’s more than convincing—it’s sizzling. Falling for each other is the most dangerous thing they could do…

Review:

Off Her Game by Zoe Forward is the first book in her new Game Lords series.  I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading this series, as it was a different type of read from what I was used to with Zoe Forward. I am happy to say that I really enjoyed this book.

Tori Duarte, our heroine, is one of the best elite gamers, which is especially unique for a female.  Tori also designs video games, hoping to sell them to make money to pay off her debts, which forces her to be involved with a secret gambling ring.

Noah Harrison, our hero, is the CEO and co owner of a game company, known to many as Game Lords. Noah, is a wealthy and handsome bachelor, who is an introvert and shy around women and media.  But when he meets Tori, he finds himself very attracted to the badass gamer.  But Noah and his partner have agreed to help the FBI find out who is behind the secret gambling ring that is murdering people who worked for them, especially since one of the victims was their brother.

Tori is pulled into the FBI sting, since she needs money, and also knows she too is in danger.  Noah will join hands with Tori to pretend to be dating, which draws the attention of the evil gaming kingpin.  During their adventure, they will both begin to fall in love with each other, though Tori cannot believe that Noah could possibly care about a girl like her. There chemistry was very steamy.

What follows is an exciting, suspenseful and fun story. I am amazed how well Zoe Forward described the gaming industry, giving us a wonderful insight to that industry.   I loved Tori and Noah together, and Forward also created some very good secondary characters; such as Emma, Jake, Quan, Sam. I expect to see more of them in the future books.  Off Her Game was a fast-paced, fun enjoyable story; wonderful couple, great secondary characters, as well as filled with excitement and suspense.  Great start to this new series, which I intend to continue reading.

Her father, North American head honcho vampire, has threatened a chilling or else if she “accidentally” helped a wolf again, especially since they’re at war. But she’s tempted by the sexy wolf. And his deadly blood calls to her in a way that should set off warning bells…

A promise to his brother in arms obliges Lexan Dimitrov to rescue the aristocrat vampire before her family discovers her secret—a secret Vee herself isn’t even aware of. What he didn’t expect was to find her sexy-as-hell. He’s not into vamps, yet the inescapable heat building between them is a delicious temptation guaranteed to end in total disaster.

Review:

The Way You Bite by Zoe Forward is the 1st book in her new paranormal series.  The Way You Bite is a fantastic start, and I can’t wait to find out what Zoe Forward has in store for us in this series.

Vee Scarpa, our heroine, is a veterinarian and a vampire.  Vee is independent and even though her father is a master vampire, she is determined to live how she wants.  When at her emergency clinic, a man brings in a wolf, which is really a werewolf, Vee is not happy.  Since there are bad feelings between the vampires and werewolves, she does not want to be in the middle.  She does not like the werewolves, since one killed her mother.   But since the wolf is injured, the doctor in her treats him. What she discovers is that the injured wolf is Lexan, our hero and the King of the werewolves.

When Vee gives in to help him, Lexan feels an immediate attraction to her. Lexan knows the truth about Vee, which would change her life forever.  However, he does know that she may not take well to the news he eventually will have to tell her.

Vee leaves to attend a family wedding, and to her disgust her father is forcing her to marry her arranged fiancée, a wealthy Euro vampire.    When she finds a way to escape, she finds herself saved by Lexan and his men; and in a short time Vee will also find herself attracted to the gorgeous and sexy Lexan.  What follows is an exciting, fun storyline that will bring both sides to war, with Vee the prize. Lexan and Vee’s romance will heat up, with him determined to win her, and she knowing she is falling for him, but knowing there can be no future.  At least not until she learns that she is a mix of vampire and wolf; making her a rare commodity.  Lexan knows that she will have her first shift soon, and tries to stay with her at all times to help her through it.

The Way You Bite was a very good story, with two warring species, and a couple that are meant for each other.  Lexan and Vee were simply a great couple, and sizzling hot.  I loved how Vee did her first shift, and was able to quickly accept this and use her new powers to help save them all; including revenge against those who truly killed her mother.

The Way You Bite was a fun, exciting & captivating story, with a wonderful couple, great secondary characters, and nonstop action throughout.   I hope Zoe Forward will give us more of Lexan and Vee, as well as more from those sexy werewolves.

Playing The Witches GameAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM

Description:
Pleiades witch Jennifer Marcos is certain that the host of Extreme Survivor is her soulmate. All she has to do is find a fake boyfriend, get on the show, and voila! She’ll have her destiny. Unfortunately, she has to rely on ex-Russian spy Nikolai Jovec’s six-foot-something of gorgeous, infuriating hotness. To make matters worse, the electric attraction between Jen and Nikolai is hotter than ever. But the only way Nikolai can protect Jen is by hiding the identity of her true Destined…him.

Review:

Playing the Witch’s Game by Zoe Forward is the 3rd book in her Keepers of the Veil series. This series revolves around the seven Pleiades witches, their destined mates who protect them, and the evil that is out to kill them. It reads very well as a standalone, though it is always better to get to know the previous characters in the earlier books.

Jen Marcos is our heroine, a Pleiades witch, who thinks she knows who her destined mate is. She has to participate in a TV reality show, Extreme Survivor, because her boyfriend is the host. Nik Jovec is our hero, and Alexi ‘s (previous hero) brother. Nik will be approached by Jen to be her partner in this dangerous game, and at first he refuses. But Nik feels his attraction to Jen, and knows that she may be his mate, and despite his fears for her survival, and her insistence to participate, he agrees to help. At the same time, Nik does not tell her that the man she thinks is her mate is not, that it is him.

As this game begins, they are met with danger at every step. It is very exciting and tense. On occasion, Jen will secretly transport them to another dimension, to help them recuperate, and in those moments their relationship heats up. Jen feels her attraction to Nik, but steadfastly refuses to believe that it’s just lust. When back in the game, they cannot quit, but they realize that they are actually targets by a dangerous and powerful villain. Alexi and Serenity secretly join them to help, and the TV show camerawoman, Shannon (who is also an upcoming Pleiades witch ) is also in danger.

Telling too much more would be spoilers, but this is a very exciting adventure that will hold you on the edge of your seat, unable to put the book down, as you needed to know if our couple will survive. I liked Nik a lot, he was not only a hunk; he was also so sweet and protective of Jen. I liked Jen, but wasn’t crazy about her insistence about her so called mate, not realizing until later that Nik was the man for her.

Zoe Forward does a great job continuing this storyline of the witches. This is a fun exciting series, which I wholly recommend.

His Witch to Keep by Zoe Forward – a Review

His Witch to Keep by Zoe Forward – a Review

His Witch to KeepAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM

Description:
Wanting her was one thing. Keeping her was another…

Serenity Danssaert was already in way over her head. Not even her MI6 training or her powers as one of the seven Pleiades witches is going to save her sister. Then Alexi Jovec shows up. A secret operative working for unknown forces, he’s impossibly sexy and dangerous…and the guy who bailed on Serenity after a red-hot, racy night.

So bonding to him as her destined—the One—is so very wrong.

While Alexi’s need to own Serenity—body, soul, and beyond—is nearly unbearable, it’s also forbidden. He’s the last man who could ever be her destined. Besides, Hades’s right-hand man cannot bond with a chosen Pleiades witch. He may be the one man who can protect her, but she can never be his to keep.

Review:

His Witch to Keep by Zoe Forward is the 2nd book in her Keeper of the Veil series. I enjoyed the first book in this series, and couldn’t wait to read this one. I am happy to say that Zoe Forward gives us another fun, sexy and exciting book in His Witch to Keep. Though the theme resolves around the seven Pleiades witches, it reads very well as a standalone, but I do suggest you read the first book in this series.

Serenity Danssaert is our heroine in this book, and she is the toughest of the seven witches. Serenity has M16 training, and works undercover on some missions, not to mention has her own witch powers. Alexi Jovec seems to always be there to protect Serenity when she is in a bad spot, and the chemistry between them is hot as hell. Funny, since he works for Hades. 🙂 Alexi also has his own powers, as he works for a god. Alexi and Serenity cannot resist each other, but both know any kind of long term relationship is forbidden.

Serenity’s sister is kidnapped, and she is forced to help those who have her sister with certain jobs. It is during these jobs, that Alexi comes to her rescue, and at the same time they must find out who is trying to kill Serenity.

Rather than give too much away, I will just say that this was an exciting story that was a fun read. I really enjoyed this book, and loved Serenity and Alexi together; their sex scenes were sizzling. I also enjoyed seeing the other witches together, as they try to help Serenity. So many more stories we can look forward to. Zoe Forward does an excellent job in keeping us on the edge of our seat with many twists, not to mention worrying about our couple, and if they would find a way to stay together. His Witch to Keep was a fast and fun read, which I suggest you don’t miss.
