ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 25, 2021.
What happens when you make a pact with your boys to stay single and never fall in love?
Well, you get the Playboy Pact.
I was the playmaker. The one with the best moves, the best lines. I was the best at everything….And I mean, everything. There was no woman immune to my charm. To my looks. To my bed-hopping ways.
It was supposed to be easy. A quick, fun, mind-blowing night where she screamed out my name in ecstasy.
No feelings.No past.No strings attached.
I broke the rules.I broke the pact.
I fell for her smile. Her laugh. Our instant connection.Except, I never expected to fall in love.
Especially with a single mom……Of twins.

REVIEW:THE FLING is the second instalment in M. Robinson’s contemporary, adult PLAYBOY PACT erotic, romance series focusing on a tight knit group of friends from Tennessee: Mila, Leo, Ashton, Cain, and Sawyer. This is twenty four year olds, real estate agent Ashton Hayes, teacher Sage McCoy’s story line. THE FLING can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.
Some background: At sixteen years of age, friends Ashton, Cain, Sawyer and Leo made a pact to remain single; a Playboy Pact to never fall in love, never settle and never marry. These are their stories.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Ashton and Sage) THE FLING follows the building romance and relationship between twenty four year olds, real estate agent Ashton Hayes, teacher Sage McCoy. Eight years earlier, on her sixteenth birthday, Sage McCoy met Ashton Hayes but Sage’s ex-boyfriend was about to reclaim our story line heroine, leaving Sage wondering where everything went wrong. Fast forward to present day wherein, Sage, now a single mother of seven year old twins, will reconnect with Ashton Hayes, the man with whom Sage will fall in love but Sage’s seven year old son Haiden is about to make life difficult for our story line hero, so much so, that Ashton finds himself having to defend against a series of accusations and lies. What ensues is the second chance relationship between Ashton and Sage, as Ashton must comes to terms with falling in love with a single mother.
The relationship between Sage and Ashton began eight years earlier but Sage’s ex boyfriend refused to acknowledge their recent breakup. Having never forgotten about one another, Sage and Ashton will reconnect at a speed dating event but Sage keeps secret about her life since they met. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate but I dislike the use of a certain four letter word in my romance storylines-erotic or otherwise.
Leo, Cain and Sawyer return as Ashton’s immature and often times sexually aggressive childhood into adulthood friends. The sexually suggestive dirty talk could be considered problematic under certain circumstances but their childish behavior is more suitable to adolescent boys.
THE FLING is a story of friendships and relationships, second chances and love. The fast paced and character driven premise is energetic ; the characters are spirited and sassy; the romance is seductive-the palpable sexual attraction is hot. I did have some concerns with the actions of Sage’s seven year old son Haiden-his speech/communication and his behavior are not those of a seven year old child but of an abusive adult. A normal seven year old child would not be able to pull of some of the mischief and misbehavior as presented in the story line-his transgressions and actions could be classified as a psychological disorder. I think the author intended the story to be a rom-com, but the child’s behaviour is questionable on so many levels.
