Coco Wells hasn’t seen another living person since she was a teenager. All of Manhattan is reliving the same few seconds, minutes, or hours on a loop… and they have been for years. Everything looks normal from a distance, but up close it’s a nightmare.
Coco is a survivor. She scavenges for food, reads, and—most importantly—avoids loopers. They ignore her, but only as long as she’s silent. She’s learned the painful lesson that a broken loop can mean death.
After eight years of solitude, learning to survive and precisely timing the loops that weave around the city, Coco wonders what lies beyond New York and what has become of the rest of the world.
As she leaves home for the first time, one question haunts her above all:
“Am I the only one left?”

REVIEW: THE NEVER ENDING END OF THE WORLD by Ann Christy is an adult, post-apocalyptic, dystopian tale of science fiction focusing on the aftermath of an experimental disaster.
Told from dual first person journals, and dual third person perspectives (Coco and Forrest) THE NEVER ENDING END OF THE WORLD covers thirty-nine years in which several small intrepid groups of people survive in a world that is unlike anything they have known. Approximately four decades earlier the world awoke to an infinite time loop. The majority of the population, both human and animal, had been caught up in a time loop, some caught for mere seconds while others looping for hours at a time but if interrupted by sound or a survivor would become a threat to those nearby. The few lucky enough not to be pulled into the loops, find themselves meandering a mystery that could not be explained. As the years pass, three groups of survivors would emerge: the Seekers who were ‘seeking’ an answer to what happened and why: the Chosen who believe they were ‘chosen’ for a reason; and the uncommitted who had no idea what to believe or do.
We are introduced to Coco Wells, a young woman, who at twelve years of age lost everyone she had loved to the apocalypse, living alone in Manhattan watching the ‘loopers’ repeat and relive their final moments. Five years would pass before Coco would meet another survivor but time and human frailty proved too much to survive. On her own once again, Coco would go in search of food, shelter and companionship where she will meet more survivors who call themselves the Seekers, and a hierarchy of communities would introduce the Chosen, a group who are questionable at best, and dangerous to anyone who gets in their way. Enter Forrest, a member of the Chosen, a man who will come in and out of our heroine’s life, a man who begins to question the need for power and control.
As the years pass, we are up close and personal with life and death, survival and courage, and the birth of the next generation, who have been markedly affected by the cataclysm and devastation of society and the world. As the small communities begin to thrive on their own, questions need to be answered, and a power struggle threatens anyone who goes in search of the truth.
THE NEVER ENDING END OF THE WORLD is a detailed, complex and intriguing story of what if and how; a story of life and death; of time and survival; of family and friendships, of power and control. With a combination of scenarios from several popular movies, television shows, games and books, THE NEVER ENDING END OF THE WORLD is a thought provoking, cautionary tale of science and fiction, blending with particle and theoretical physics, and quantum mechanics on a field of endless possibilities and the disruption of time.
