ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 13, 2020
The feud between Weston Lockwood and me started at the altar.
Only neither of us attended the wedding, and the nuptials happened decades before either of us was born.
Our grandfathers had been best friends and business partners, at least up until my grandfather’s wedding day—when his bride-to-be blurted out she couldn’t marry him because she was also in love with Weston‘s grandfather.
The two men spent years fighting over Grace Copeland, who also happened to be their third business partner. But in the end, neither man could steal half of her heart away from the other.
Eventually, they all went their separate ways. Our grandfathers married other women, and the two men became one of the biggest business rivals in history.
Our fathers continued the family tradition of feuding. And then Weston and I did, too.
For the most part, we kept as much distance as possible.
Until the day the woman who started the feud died—and unexpectedly left one of the most valuable hotels in the world to our grandfathers to share.
Now I’m stuck in a hotel with the man I was born to hate, trying to unravel the mess our families inherited.
As usual, it didn’t take long for us to be at each other’s throats.
Weston Lockwood was everything I hated: tall, smart, cocky, and too gorgeous for his own good. We were fire and ice.
But that shouldn’t be an issue. Our families were used to being at war. There was just one minor problem, though. Every time Weston and I fought, we somehow wound up in bed.

REVIEW:THE RIVALS by Vi Keeland is a stand alone, contemporary erotic romance story line focusing on hoteliers and rivals Sophia Sterling and Weston Lockwood.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Sophia and Weston) THE RIVALS follows the enemies to lovers relationship between hoteliers and rivals Sophia Sterling and Weston Lockwood. Decades earlier Grace Copeland fell in love with two men-Oliver Lockwood and August Sterling-thus ending a friendship and partnership that would turn into a rivalry that pitted the Lockwoods and Sterlings against one another for years to come. With the recent passions of Grace Copeland, the Lockwoods and Sterlings each inherited 49% of the Grace Copeland’s The Countess Hotel, forcing our story line couple to work together in an effort to prove who was worthy of the remaining 2 %. But like the previous generations, Sophia and Weston grew up hating one another, a hate based fed by the competitive nature of the Lockwood and Sterling patriarchs. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Sophia and Weston, and the potential fall-out as secrets and lies threaten any chance of happiness for our story line couple.
Weston Lockwood is the proverbial bad boy but as such our hero struggles with his place in the Lockwood family. Having lost the only person he has ever loved, Weston has floundered, slowly spiralling out of control. Working along side Sophia Sterling is Weston’s last chance to prove he is capable of taking control but in the end it is Sophia who is taking control of Weston’s heart.
The relationship between Sophia and Weston is an enemies to lovers wherein our couple spent one night together years before. Forced to work beside the man whose attitude and ego push Sophia’s buttons, our heroine quickly finds herself falling for a man who is about to break her heart. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Sophia’s father, and her half-brother Spencer, Sophia’s best friend Scarlett, as well as several employees at The Countess Hotel.
THE RIVALS is a story of family, friendships, betrayal and love. A story about one woman who fell in love with two men, a love that would set into motion decades of hatred between two families for no other reason than jealousy and a broken heart. The premise is captivating and intriguing; the romance is passionate and seductive; the characters are energetic, colorful and charismatic.
