ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 12, 2021
Before I even met Donovan Decker, I knew his shoe size.
You see, I’d gone away for a few days, and in my haste to get out of the airport, I’d grabbed the wrong suitcase.
After checking out the expensive footwear and tailored clothes, I dialed the number on the luggage tag hoping maybe Mister Big Spender might have my bag.
A deep, velvety voice answered, and as luck would have it, he had my suitcase, too.
Donovan and I met at a coffee shop to do the exchange.
Turned out, it wasn’t just his voice that was sexy. The man holding my luggage was absolutely gorgeous, and we had an immediate spark.
He got me to admit that I’d snooped in his bag and then convinced me to make it up to him by letting him buy me coffee.
Coffee led to dinner, dinner led to dessert, and dessert led to spending an entire weekend together. Donovan wasn’t just handsome with a panty-dropping voice. He was also funny, smart, and surprisingly down to earth for a man who wore seven-hundred-dollar shoes.
Did I mention he also did my laundry while I slept? Definitely too good to be true.
So what did I do to repay him for his kindness?
I waited until he was in the shower, then ghosted him.
My life was too complicated for such a great guy.
In the months that passed, I thought about Donovan often.
But New York City had eight-million people, so what were the chances I’d run into him?
Then again, what were the chances I’d run into him a year later…when I’d just started dating his boss?

REVIEW:THE SPARK by Vi Keeland is a stand alone, contemporary, adult, erotic, romance story line focusing on twenty-eight year old social worker Autumn Wilde, and thirty year old attorney Donovan Decker.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Donovan and Autumn) using present day and memories from the past, THE SPARK focuses in the wake of Autumn Wilde accidentally grabbing the wrong luggage from the airport, followed by a three day weekend with attorney Donovan Decker. The next morning, Autumn will ghost our story line hero, and ten months will pass before Autumn faces our hero again, when her twelve year old client needs legal help and Donovan has been assigned to the case but ten months has changed the direction of Autumn’s life, and she is no longer available or looking for love. As Donovan and Autumn work together to both protect and support their mutual client, Autumn struggles with the who and what of her current relationship, a man who controls Donovan’s future. What ensues the building romance and relationship between Autumn and Donovan, and the potential fall-out as Autumn’s past continues to affect her present, her future, and quite possibly, her relationship with our story line hero.
Autumn Wilde has struggled for close to six years, a struggle that has affected all of her relationships going forward but Donovan Decker was about to break through our heroine’s facade, a facade that hid a painful past. Donovan Decker is on the fast track to make partner at the law firm for which he works but one of the partners posed a problem for our story line hero, a problem that was about to affect everything in both his personal and professional life.
The relationship between Autumn and Donovan begins accidentally when Autumn picks up Donovan’s luggage by mistake but their ‘friends only’ weekend together ends when our heroine leaves without looking back, but Donovan never forgot about the one that got away. Ten months later, Autumn is ‘dating’ Donovan’s boss, but the relationship is going no where fast. Refusing to cross the proverbial line, the palpable sexual attraction continues to be heavy and hot. The $ex scenes are passionate and seductive.
We are introduced to Donovan’s friends and fellow attorneys Trent and Juliette ; boss and law firm partner Blake Dickson ; twelve year old Augustus Storm; Donovan’s mentor and friend Frances ‘Bud’ Yankowski; Autumn’s father Gerald Wilde; and Autumn’s ex Braden Erlich.
THE SPARK is a story of power and control, betrayal and obsession, relationships, friendships, acceptance and love. The premise is emotional and haunting; the characters are dynamic and edgy; the romance is passionate and heart warming.
