Johnny Malone, 35 years old, is a disgraced fire fighter, whose passion for fighting fires turned into an obsession for starting them.
Now part of his probation states that he must have approved employment and psychiatric evaluation and treatment.

Rebecca Brennan, psychiatrist who specializes in Johnny Malone’s diagnosis.

This was a wonderful step into the Marchesi Empire series. Both Johnny and Becca have disturbing pasts, and its hard to know who’s telling the truth and who is lying. The banter and back and forth in the book is off the charts.

REVIEW:Tortured Hearts is book two in the Marchesi Empire series by Cora Kenborn.

We are back in the lives of Johnny and Becca as this book begins after book ones cliffhanger. This books progresses quickly after the cliffhanger is revealed and Johnny and Becca must deal face to face with their fears and the dangers facing them.

They both face tough choices that must be addressed. This book was even better than book one. Johnny’s sarcasm to deal with tough situations and his feelings was amazing to read!

This is not a stand alone book – I highly recommend book one. Plot twists and an amazing plot line full of captivating secrets, lies, and heartbreak make for one of the most intriguing books you will read this year!

And again – another cliffhanger!
