The past always has a way of coming back to bite you.

Diablo

One touch is all it takes. That’s all it ever took. I knew then and I know now what I want in life. You learn quick living on the streets that it’s not where you want to be the rest of your life. I won’t go back and I won’t let her either.

Years ago, life sucked, but I got the chance to turn it all around and I never looked back. Figured it was for the best. Didn’t think anything of it.

Not until I saw her again.

One look and I knew I’d screwed up, but that doesn’t mean I’m about to admit it. My brothers named me Diablo for a reason. I’ve got no problem being the devil in disguise, and she’s about to learn this very lesson.

REVIEW: TOUCHING DIABLO is the eight instalment in EC Land’s contemporary, adult SATAN’S KEEPERS MC erotic, romance series. This is twenty six year old Damari aka Diablo, and twenty-three year old, primary school teacher London Weaver’s story line. TOUCHING DIABLO can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from three first person perspectives (Diablo, London, Reaper) TOUCHING DIABLO follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Approximately ten years earlier, sixteen year old Damari (Diablo) and Jarrett (Beast) were living on the streets when they encountered a homeless thirteen year old girl named London. Approximately six months later, London’s father, returned to the US to discover his daughter was missing. Taking custody, London would disappear from Damari and Jarrett’s life . Fast forward to the present day, London may be in trouble, and Diablo is about to claim the woman with whom he has fallen in love. London Weaver is a primary school teacher but an aggressive boyfriend sends up too many red flags. ‘Rescued’ by Diablo, London finds herself at odds with Diablo’s lifestyle and his need to protect until our heroine is target by an unknown group. What ensues is the building relationship between Diablo and London, as our couple must come to terms with what is happening and why.

The world building follows several paths including the introduction of London’s father Liam Weaver, and his business Red Phantom Security, as well as the return of Diablo’s past, and the betrayal that would target our story line couple.

The relationship between Diablo and London is one of second chances of a sorts. Ten years earlier, Diablo then known as Damari , along with Jarrett took London under their wing in an effort to protect her from the streets. Reconnecting with London , Diablo knew immediately he would claim London as his own but someone else is determined to destroy their lives. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text..

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including Reaper, Angel, Daemon, Scythe and Beast, as well as their significant others. We are introduced to London’s father Liam Weaver and his team at Red Phantom Security, and London’s fellow teacher Tamara. The requisite evil has many faces.

TOUCHING DIABLO is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, dysfunctional family dynamics, obsession, relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is captivating, engaging and interesting; the romance is fated and furious; the characters are determined, and charismatic. TOUCHING DIABLO ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
