ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 14, 2023
A harmless kiss led to a fairy tale. Or so I thought. But unlike the happily-ever-
afters you read about, my tale didn’t end with a wedding gown and roses.
My fairy tale turned into a heartbreak. Inked in pain and sealed in tears.
It almost cost me my life. And my family.
He moved on as if nothing ever happened, while I was left to pick up the pieces.
Now, he’s back and he wants me.
To him, I’m a pawn to be used. Leverage. But I’m no longer his. I’m his brother’s betrothed.
Stuck between two brothers, the push and pull unbearable. One wants me, the other needs me. But the Leone brothers will learn that this queen won’t be a pawn.
To me, they are both men deserving of pain and poison.
My family thinks I’ll accept my fate.
Well, I plan to fight it.

REVIEW:UNFORGIVING QUEEN is the second instalment in Eva Winners’ contemporary, adult STOLEN EMPIRE dark, erotic, Mafia romance trilogy focusing on twenty-six year old, heir to the Yakuza throne Amon Leone, and twenty-one year old, Omerta princess Reina Romero. UNFORGIVING QUEEN should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events and cliff hanger of book one BITTER PRINCE.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
SOME BACKGROUND: Years earlier Reina met Amon during one of their fathers’ questionable meetings but throughout the next twelve years our couple would come in and out of one another’s lives. Reina fell in love with Amon Leone, true heir to the Yakuza empire, but the Leones and Romeros were enemies at best. With a long and colorful history between the two families, Reina and Amon were warned away from one another but the pull was too strong for our story line couple.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Amon and Reina) covering approximately three years UNFORGIVING QUEEN picks up in the aftermath of the cliff hanger of book one in which our heroine was fighting for her life. Rejected by the man that she loved, three years would pass in which Reina would become a fashion designer, and Amon Leone would fight his way to the top but the three years would acknowledge Reina’s love/hate relationship with the man that destroyed her life, and Amon’s need for the woman he cannot have. Fast forward to present day, wherein for the sake of the ‘family’, Reina has been promised to another man, and Amon is about to discover the truth about a family history he knew nothing about. As Amon and Reina each go their separate ways, someone else is making plans behind the scenes to take control from the top.
The world building continues to focus on Amon’s rise to power but throughout most of the story line our couple have been separated by secrets and lies, hatred and love, power and control. We are witness to Reina’s desperate need to protect herself from anyone trying to take her down, and in doing so, she will become the true princess as she fights her way to freedom.
The relationship between Amon and Reina is tempestuous at best. Amon knows Reina will never be his wife but that does not stop him take claiming our heroine as his own. No one else is allowed to touch the woman he loves including the men he once called brothers and friends. The $ex scene is passionate and intense.
Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Reina’s sister long suffering Phoenix, their father Tomaso; Amon’s parents, his brother Dante; Reina’s friends Isla, Raven and Athena. The dysfunctional family dynamics continues to be questionable; the Cartel is taking aim at everyone involved.
UNFORGIVING QUEEN is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, forgiveness and love, obsession and madness. The premise is dramatic, edgy and intense; the romance is limited as our couple are separated but their need for one another is palpable and strong; the characters are, once again, desperate, determined but powerful and dynamic. UNFORGIVING QUEEN ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
