REVIEW: VICTORIOUS part 2 is the sixth instalment in KE Osborn’s contemporary, adult LA DEFIANCE MC dark, erotic, MC romance series. VICTORIOUS part 2 is the continuation and culmination of several intersecting story lines focusing on the Rojas Cartel, The Nest and the building romance and relationship between Wes ‘Phoenix’ Evans, and twenty year old MC princess Clover Cadell’s story line. VICTORIOUS PART 2 should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events of VICTORIOUS Part 1.

Told from several first person perspectives (Phoenix, Clover,Loki, Alpha, South, Haven) VICTORIOUS PART 2 continues to focus on the take down of the Rojas Cartel, and a group known as The Nest, an organization that trains and creates female assassins, using kidnapping the young girls not much older than toddlers. Desperate to protect his sister, MC members sends his sister on a road trip with Wes ‘Phoenix’ Evans, a road trip to secure our heroine’s safety but from the outset, Clover struggles with disturbing nightmares about the people she left behind, nightmares that threaten her sanity the further from home go Phoenix and Clover.

Meanwhile, the LA Defiance MC discover that reality of life behind prison walls inside the California Institute for Women, a life that is now darker and more dangerous for everyone concerned. As the MC prepare for war with the Rojas Cartel, someone on the inside of the correctional facility is amassing an army of ‘birds’ in an effort to take down everyone involved.

The relationship between Phoenix and Clover is a forbidden affair. Phoenix has been tasked with protecting Maverick’s young sister, a woman with some ongoing health struggles but a woman who is determined to survive at all costs. As our couple near their Vegas destination, our couple discover their mutual attraction, and growing love for one another. The $ex scenes are provocative and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters including several MC members who cross over from the author’s various interconnected DEFIANCE MC series including the return of Alpha and Haven, Maverick and Sadie, Loki, Rhyan, Montana, Nighthawk aka Cassandra as well as actors Cedar and Meadow, and tech geniuses Luke and Logan Martinez. The requisite evil has many faces.

VICTORIOUS PART 2 is a story of power and control, murder and madness, love and acceptance, friendships and protection. The character driven premise is dramatic, complex and detailed; the romance is seductive and edgy; the characters are determined and charismatic. VICTORIOUS PART 2 ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
