REVIEW:The next installment of the Charming Irish series by Kaylee Winters, Wistful Whispers is here! As always, I recommend reading a series in order to get the most out of it, but each book in the series can be read as a standalone.

Seamus is an up and coming neuro-surgeon in his residency, Marcella a high powered ace attorney for a wealthy firm, these two are far too similar in temperament to be anything but bad for each other. That doesn’t matter though, the heat between burns hot enough to distract them from how much they dislike each other. Or so they think.

Seamus becomes enemy number two for Marcella when he gets caught up in the middle of her current case. A case against his mentor, someone he trusts and respects, but Marcella has a track record for finding the truth and winning her cases. As the case unfolds and the truth is revealed, their very fragile relationship is tested, Marcella is used to people judging not only her but everyone else as well. She has dedicated her life to not being that person, so to say she has a few hang-ups would be an understatement. However, when everything is settled, the real battle for them begins, one where Seamus can’t lose.

Overall I was very pleased with the read. I really enjoyed that the FMC was older than the MC for once, it gave her character a level of maturity that we don’t see enough in romance books. (In my opinion) Seamus is a hopeless flirt, but a good guy, and that is what mattered to Marcella. Their banter and arguments were top tier, those moments were some of my favorites to read. Of course the spice was also a good add in, but over all the story was better.
